- Whilst Im in Florida repairing the Porsche GT3 we decided to take a trip to Miami Copart! There was so many super & luxury cars for sale by auction. Including Ferraris, Mclarens, Lamborghinis & more. I let Hannah take her pick for a potential new rebuild project.

@@raheemawan9693 the merc headlight that costs 1.2k has got a lot more tech than this 2k lambo this is a simple led and xenon headlight than shouldnt be over 500, but its a lambo so multiply it a few times, cause they can.

These auction tours are great content, would love more of these on the main channel, maybe one a month just to show what’s out there and maybe what sort of money cars are going for

its not Miami blue, Miami is a lot lighter and more green. That colour looks like maritime blue to me.

Not only that from what I seen: TESLA flooded cars are disabled for super charging. And the moment you Import them to Europe you have a Tesla proprietary plug car (Teslas build for European customers are built for CCS charging as that was mandated by the EU and their partners way back in the early 2000s)

Matt, a lot of the hurricane flood cars have damage on so many sides because they floated when the waters first surged in. Before they filled with enough water to get their wheels on the ground again, the bounced into anything in sight like a boat not tied to a dock.

Well, as I only found this channel last month, it's taken me a while to get with the program (having mainly watched it cos of Matt - he radiates such good vibes, it's good for my mental health!) - but one thing you can be sure of is that the Huracan Evo will do no more to save the manual than all the other cars I have seen on here being brought back from the brink, which all seem to have been autocratics😄am pretty sure...
That notwithstanding, the Huracan has been magnificent for Lamborghini and I can't see any of them now depreciating, let alone the last of its kind, even a lightly crashed one that's been stripped for the parts. So while it seems like it'd be expensive to fix I think it'd be an investment🙂
If Mat lived in the U.S. then he would have so many projects and would be visiting Copart on a weekly basis, like a kid at christmas.

2:07 My 2005 g500 was rear ended by an f350 super duty, and although the rear door is a little bent, and the tire cover is done for, no glass broke, no frame damage, andwhen the tire cover is off, it looks like it hasn't even been touched. My 2019 G63 had a corner out in the street, and a lexus lx sideswiped it. Their car was all dented up, and my gwagon had a tiny scuff which i haven't bothered to repair, but has been mostly buffed out.

Considering Hannah was the only one to find the last dash bolt hiding on the other side of the Porsche firewall, I think she'd do alright rebuilding her own project!

The Porsche is unique - I mean it looks unique and the impact you get when you open it is pretty unique as well . 1 of a kind

I live in Wilmington Delaware. I'd love to see you rebuild an American male car like a Olds 442 or a chevelle ss '72. Last year I was forced to sell my 98 camaro z28 convertible. The repairs would have cost me more than I paid for the car. Couldn't afford to fix it. I love watching your videos. Keep at it and have a blast doing it.
At the conclusion of this epic trip, I'd love to hear a brief recap of your (and Hannah's) overall experience/impression of your first trip to the states. Cheers mate.

Out of all you viewed the black AMG GT looked the easiest to sort - kinda important as your in another country and already have a massive project in the GT3
As great as restoring one of these cars might be: If I am not mistaken, Mat mentioned that shipping the GT3 to the UK to repair it there was incredibly expensive. I assume it's the same here. So I suppose there is no hope that Mat - or his better half - will actually start working on one of these cars. Unless, that is, if one of these cars fit in their suitcase. 😎

That last Huracan was taken to a body shop and insurance asked for it to be disassembled to assess the damage or approved repairs to a certain budget. But after disassembly and assessing damage or when the repairs were started but the bills got too high, the adjuster decided to write it off and the carcass was sent off to Copart.
Fun vid. Guessing no bags out on the M4 probably means it was sat still unoccupied when it was whacked? The Ferrari 430 chassis is aluminium 👍🏻 Wonder if the Miami Blue Macan was flooded with sewer water 😷
You seem to dismiss any flood damaged cars very quickly. Why is that? Are they just too hard (or too easy) to repair? Or are they too expensive? Also, I would totally love to see Hannah repair a car. I think she'd make a great role model for women looking to get in to car repair and modification, and it would be interesting to see her take on things.
Trust me, never touch a flooded car, they look so tempting, but you will be plagued by faults, failures and corrosion for the life of the car, which won't be long, even assuming you get rid of the mould. They are parts cars, which is why most will never ever be allowed to be titled again.
Issue is with flooded cars: they are often maybe always biohazard cars… As they sit for weeks with water in their seating… turning anything seating moldy

Great to be able to find a dream car all banged up and fix it yourself just like new. For most of us it would be back to the showroom.
I would love to see you fix a flood damaged car! Would be a totally different narrative and types of repair. Could be cool content!
Just don't forget that when you register a LHD car in a RHD country or vice versa, you must change headlights anyway because of the optics... you will need that for GT3 too
with flood damage in older carbureted american cars its way easier to repair. It doesn't rely as much on electronics, engines/transmissions are like legos and interchange between models across models over 50 years in some cases. Just see if water got in with any fluids or in the spark plug holes b4 starting but that lowrider might be a good save.

For the huracan, the whole carbon x alu chassis can be bought as parts at something around 100000 pounds. Which includes so many body part which you may never thing of.

There's two clear choices to choose from, the lamborgini huracan evolution or the beautiful white bentley continental gtc. The one in front of the ferrari.
With the BMW M4, if it was parked and no-one was in it (seat sensors) maybe the airbag wouldnt go off? Like in the Merc only the driver airbag went off because there wasnt anyone in the passenger side

I was in Fort Myers a week after the hurricane and saw a flooded 458 being hauled away.
insurance will cut panels to view the inner structure to determine if its repairable tech a body shop but for the insurance quote
There was a white Bentley continental that was in the background about 3/4 in the video. I think that’d be a nice build/getaway/daily for Hannah 👌🏻

Why do you, and mechanics always avoid flood damaged cars? once it dries out, and you clean out the engine and transmission and all, shouldn't it be good to go? what am I missing?

Idk, I always thought as long as no power was connected to the car and nobody tried to power it on while it was in water it would be okay. But I guess there is a lot more that I do not know about cars.
Perhaps old cars (from the 80's etc) that didn't have computers could survive a flood? Correct me if I'm wrong

There are quite a few supercar breakers in the area, can be rebuild with 2nd hand spares no worries
The Huracan as it's the best colour GREEN!!! Easy fix for Hannah as you would be mentoring her obviously. Looks a bit of an Airfix project to me.

Since you're in Florida if you're ever in the Orlando, visit the dealership i work at. Its a lambo,Bentley, and rolls Royce dealer. Our parts department will most likely help you out.

Mat, not all of those switches will deploy because it involves engine damage. That switch ends the flow of fuel to a port fuel injection system. The reason why auto manufacturers do this is so that fuel won't ignition. Another reason is that port fuel injection requires a pressure regulator, which is set close to 30 psi. In the event that there wasn't that switch, that fuel will continue to flow, adding to the problems caused by an accident.
