had my doubts about Andrea being able to pull this off, but she DID....remaining on her tonal registry without trying to go higher than natural for her voice, worked great, pulling of Ronny James Dio cover the best (in my pov) voice in metal ever....congratulations loved it!
I never had a doubt, Andreea has an incredible range, sometimes I think she doubts herself on some of the covers, but she always comes through with flying colors
I agree. I had my doubts clicking on this. Been following the band for a while on TH-cam and I have to admit, Andreea has made significant improvement in just a matter of a couple years. I was critical earlier that she just didn't have the control to handle it, but with tons of practice and these releases, I can definitely see it paid off. Hope for the best for the band, and love that they are keeping the music I love alive and fresh.

When Andreea got that high note, I saw that this, is one of the greatest covers that I've ever saw you guys do.

Beautiful job, young people! I'm an old lady and remember seeing RJD doing this in concert TWICE! So you know I'm a fan! And I think y'all rocked the HELL out of this cover! It does this old cold black heart good to see the young folks keeping it alive!
I'm not so old but in 1996 when I started going to the gym, it was a good song to lift the weights, everybody liked Holy Diver and Lock up the wolves)

So many try to cover this - and so many fail. I'd say this is right up there with Liliac's cover.
Which leads me to this: it's time to start creating original music. Find your own style.... (hint: me likey the recent complementary female lead vocalists. I'm thinking that's a way to go.)

I think Mr Dio would touched by all the young bands that have offered tributes to his music. Music only dies when we put it up on a shelf in a locked cabinet and tell the kids don't touch it's too good for you. When the artist is gone the music gets forgotten, lost. Iron Cross, Liliac, Motion Device and others have worked hard to make sure Ronnie James Dio is not forgotten and bless you all.
Sorry DIO, but this song is better than the original. The voice of Andrea is perfect for this song. Of corse, the guitars, Drums and vocals are also awesome! You all made a great job!!! Thanks that you're a Band ;-)

First time I hear Iron Cross. This is probably the Dio song I have listened to most of all. The band does a very good job of copying the original track. Sadly, I find that the shoes of Ronny James are a bit hard to fill. The vocals here lack the necessary nerve to reach the storytelling of the original. Highly listenable, I'll give you that, but still a copy.

@@marcmaddox Instrumentally it did. The vocals, Melody has more of a man's voice well suited for metal. Andreea is, obviously, very much a young lady. Powerful voice, but she's not Lemmy. Both are good, just depends what you like better.

I am impressed. My first contact with Dio's music was through the cover of Liliac of this very song.
Andreea once again showed how much variability lies in her voice. And the rest of the band didn't slack, either. You once again did what you do best when covering these songs - you make them your own, an hommage to the original.
Hey Timberwolf, we know each other from all the Liliac stuff.
I personally think Iron Cross did this better than Liliac (except the vocals).
I hate to admit it, but the musicianship here is absolutely stellar.

@@joshuaburba1048 Well, I think they are on the same level. They both take the songs they cover and make them their own.
Most importantly, they both have a unique style that sets them apart from other cover bands that are more like tribute bands.
The only thing that The Iron Cross has a little shortage in are original songs. But that’s a different subject, because there are factors that the bands have little influence on.

I do like an original by The Iron Cross called "Go Away." It's pretty good, although if you watch the video you'll see how much younger they were (plus almost everyone is different from the current lineup).

This chick is really hot and has a good voice, but her vocal tone and style is much more suited for pop than for metal.
Go to her channel and you'll see she does pop songs almost exclusively.
With this band she does her best with metal to please her boyfriend, the guitarist.

Oh no. This does not work I'm sad to say. Shes out of sync, I dont know if she intend to do it, but the guitar and the vocals don't marry as they should. And also, she is to nice and sweet, there's no *bite* in the voice. And while I'm at id, I must add that the guitar is to distorted. It needs a louder, sharper sound. Sloppy like a cover band on the local pub. It aint tight as it should be. There's the honest truth for you.
Yeah, she's definitely not a metal singer.
