Saddest thing about watching Jose is that it is really hard to see where the next one like him will come from. Football is completely devoid of characters now both in terms of the way it is played on the pitch in terms of imagination, expression and risk , but also off it. Everyone just gives the same boring answers in interviews and press conferences.
Whilst his character used to be thought provoking and amusing, he very much turned into a caricature of his former self lately and his antics are not well tolerated anywhere. He had a colorful career, won plenty of trophies but he's playing himself out of big clubs slowly but surely whilst "slower burning candles" like Ancelotti are seeing a resurgence and success. Shame because he's a good coach no doubt, but he has to control himself otherwise his team follows suit and that will defo not be tolerated by any club owner in the world. A team's image nowadays is almost as crucial as their on pitch performance with the coach at the helm. Jose is too much of a liability lately, wish he'd calm down a bit.
After this he should go to the Portugal National Team, win at least 1 trophy there (World Cup - for CR7's sake) & then call it a life at the top level.
