In my headcannon Raiden is the guy who joins Liu Kang. It just fits so perfectly as both of them were the ones who fought to the Deadly Alliance. They are the two protagonists, Raiden is the new human hero, and their combined power made everything possible. Deception and Deadly Alliance intros happening again, but this time with the good guys winning.
I’d prefer geras since he was with Liu Kang in the beginning and along Liu Kang are the only people who know the past timeline also raiden was on the final cutscene implying he definitely wasn’t in the battle
@Deathmare235 I don't understand how being in the final scene means they weren't in the final battle. Many heroes could've been in the final battle. Plus, I take the line "How we deafeated Shang Tsung" to imply those in that scene were in the final battle.
@@bladeplays6425 I’m pretty sure that the chosen characters weren’t even from the same timeline as Liu Kang’s, except for maybe geras but that’s headcanon

Agreed, New Era Raiden is Liu Kang’s champion to protect Earthrealm and the one must win just like the when the original Raiden chosen Liu Kang to be his champion.
Shouldn’t Titan Shang Tsung have been massively OP and dominated Liu Kang? Remember he was the winner of his fight in MK11, meaning he has absorbed the power of “Timekeeper Thunder & Fire Titan Liu Kang” as well as Titan Kronica, Sindel, Shao Kahn, and the essence of Raiden and Fujin Logically it should have been no contest against Liu Kang?
@@sbro17 we can argue about that everyday but we just saw titans fighting titans with most of them stronger and weaker than most but they still hold their own, like Mime Cage and such.

This ending was meant for raiden no cap... Think about it. In Deception, Raiden faced Quan Chi and Shang Tsung at the same time. He fought better than them but still lost. Instead, this humble, calm, and clear-headed Raiden was far superior to the titan Shang Tsung and the wandering sorcerer... A One message these MK games always have is that the bigger they are, the bigger the fall.
Why does liu kang says that he have some works todo in the cutscene after armageddon he was acctually not paying the bills on madam's bo restoran and saying that he has work to do.
IIRC there is a dialog between smoke and Tania (or someone else) where they talk about how smoke stood up to Shang Tsung and Quanchi, i don't recall him fighitng them during any point of the campaign, so maybe he could be the canon character
bruv this makes no sense at all. like i saw at least 8 shang tsungs at liu kangs side and some evil sht like titan shao kahn they really didnt thought that through
Titan Shao Khan would've been no different than the previous Shao Khans of the past. lol. Would've been just as boring as Shang Tsung being the final villain for the 3rd time.
I haven't got a chance to play this one yet but holy crap! Chaos and Mayhem or anything else I could usually use to describe something like this is just too tame I think I like it alot
I kinda wish the story did a better job of BEING a story… this one, above all others, felt so disconnected, segmented, and shallow. If Johnny Cage is the character that gets the most development of the cast (in his relation to Kenshi), something is probably amiss. Not that I should set my expectations high with MK as a fighting game, but still.
I know its to cutdown the boring fights but it looks like Raiden is just going around one-shot upper cuting everybody 🤣

The best choice narrative wise is Gerus. Lui Kang tower ending, says he considers Gerus his successor.
Would’ve been 10x better if they just extended his chapter and let us fight shang as liu again
All this happened cause Shang Tsung wasn't satisfied having his own timeline 😂
It actually cheks out. Shang Tsung always tries to go for more than he can handle, and it ends up blowing in his face.
So everybody that's evil is all mixed up. Except Jax.
would be funny if Evil Jax had, idk, metal legs or smth
I believe Raiden is the best choice for this ending, he was portrayed as the main character the whole game. So thats why
One simple question: How the hell do they know who's friend and who's foe?
