I’m a 2002 baby, but my dad who was born in 1968 introduced my brother and I to classic rock at a young age. And Three Dog Night specifically for whatever reason was our “traveling music”. My dad would put his CD in and blast the radio to wake us up. So I woke up to “JEREMIAH WAS A BULLFROG” on the days we were going out on vacation. I always wondered why he did but now when I hear these songs they’re associated with good memories.
If I am correct, Hoyt Axton wrote both this song and Jeremiah was a bullfrog. Great writer and great songs. Brings back memories, too of growing up in the 70's.
I always loved this song and then in1978 just joined the navy, our first port stop on a med cruise was Rota Spain. Couple of us went into a bar for a beer and there’s a jukebox and the first song out of it was “never been to Spain” what a great way to be 18 and in a foreign country for the first time.

Great song - it's one of those 'you were there' type memories songs. For me, that experience was in an 8th grade music assembly in 1972 (George Fox Jr. High School) when a girl named Cindy Pavlic sang this song. She actually did a great job with it, and my friend at the time Glenn Johnson fell in love with her. I am not sure where Cindy and Glenn are these days - it's been a long time. Maybe one or both passed on, but I will always remember this great song by that memory. Lots of influences in this song - rock, country, gospel - really a master piece!

The 1970's were my most enjoyable years. I was 15 to 25, Got my first job, had my first date, went to college and graduated, got married, and had a son, all in that FANTASTIC decade.
Those were the days
In Memory of my Grandmother Carmen Ramirez Bunch. We crossed the new bridge one afternoon and then she told me on the way home that " Thank You Darling, today you made me feel like a brand new Bride ". Biggest Gift she ever gave me..
A great song by Hoyt Axton played by Three Dog Night. Back in the days when we had REAL music!
Hoyt Axton wrote many great tunes back then.
The 1960's and 1970's produced the best music ever written and recorded.@@koolkitties8552
