Even tho the twist was obvious I felt the way they handled it was well done and I like that butcher didn’t want genocide and it’s confirm that joe is the manifestation of the parasite that killed Ezekiel, I felt so bad for hughie.
The twist was obvious, but was handled very well. As for Hughie he can not catch a break man.

A twist doesn’t have to be a reveal just for us it was still good for butcher to realize it and the fight club like reveal shots were great

In the comics he also had iron man type powers with a suit of armor, they got rid of pretty much all of the iron man similarities other than his openness surrounding his secret identity
And a bit of Tony Stark because of his mech suit

In the comics, the Wayne’s helped escaped slaves on the underground railroad while here tek knights family made their wealth off of slavery
Wakey wakey eggs, and Bakey is originally a British term. Since the hallucinations are a part of butcher it makes sense that Kessler would say this too.
I'm sad about the Frenchie and kimoko separation arc. I hope it makes them stronger when they are reunited.
I hope Sage is even more useful and doesn't die. But that moment was so devilish and funny because of how it made him leave Newman.
I fear though that now that Homelander has seen her essential weakness he's going to use that to his advantage.

When i made the connection that Tek Knight was a parody of Bruce Wayne (Batman), i laughed so damn hard.

It wasn’t very subtle. I don’t think it was supposed to be.
Homelander never put any actual thought into his coup would work. Sage was supposed to think of everything. This is all gonna come crashing down on him and shit is gonna hit the fan.
I think that Sage's ability to cure cancer served two purposes in this episode. First, it made it clear about her history. But I think it was also making it clear that she could do any number of things with the virus if she wants to. She could likely make a version that was stable and killed homelander, or one that could kill humans, or any number of other things.
that said, I'm still not entirely sure what side she's on.
I wonder if Sage mentioning her past with cures might come in handy later. Neuman and Stan could really utilize her knowledge and skills there. Just sayin'

Annie MIGHT get her powers back after her apology. I think her own headspace was interfering. Especially of note as she hasn’t tried to use them since the apology, allowing Kimiko to save Huey instead of the light blast she’d probably have launched previously.
Just a guess. But it wouldn’t shock me if her powers come back now, while a lot of people wonder what changed.
Accepting her own faults is part of Annie’s arc. She doesn’t have to contrast herself to everyone else by being perfect. That’s impossible. Giving a shit is what she does best.
In her place, I’m not sure I’d have left Firecracker breathing.
But will she actually finally do something useful with her powers other then make the room bright? They try so hard to make her seem strong but I’d rather have Frenchie or MM in the fight then her

Finding out that Joe Kessler was a hallucination was a huge twist. But it was known since we saw them in the first minutes with Butcher. And that makes him let the character of Jeffrey be perhaps inaccessible, but useful in the butcher. And your impulse of courage.
I’ll play on the world’s finest Superman and Batman. These two are seen as the two of the top heroes in the world. In the world. Clark Kent sees Bruce Wayne as his even without powers he treats Batman like they’re on the same footing and even thinks of him as his best friend at times. Here Homelander looks as tek knight as beneath him because he lacks “real powers” can’t fly and it seen as a joke.
Ladio is a play on robin. In the comics he later became swing wing a play on nightwing

Sage truly is! She plays it so well and frightens me at times. I have no clue if she's going to make it out of this season alive however knowing that while they were filming season 4 Eric Kripke already knew that season 5 was going to be the last season, I feel that this season finale is going to end on a massive cliff hanger

Nah, the fact that Hughie's mom wasn't a hallucination and Kessler was was pretty obvious almost from the start. You pay attention, so you would've noticed. Some people didn't, but a lot of people just leave TV shows in the background without actually watching them.
You know I was actually having trouble figuring out if butcher's military buddy was real or a hallucination. I could get the vibe of someone who didn't exist from him, but other times there were signs of him having a real past. The ending explained it. He wasn't just a halucination, it was the worm in his head. I was getting mixed signals because he was bassically a man without a past pretending to be someone who did have one.
