(The water should feel as warm as a hot bath or Jacuzzi-not lukewarm but not boiling, either.) Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes. The dough should feel smooth and satiny. Spritz a large, clean bowl with cooking spray or grease lightly with vegetable oil. Place the dough ball in the bowl and cover with a spritzed or greased piece of plastic wrap. Let rise for 1 hour, until doubled in size. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Transfer the dough to a clean, unfloured surface and divide into 24 pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 9 inches long and 1/2 inch wide. Line up the ropes on the baking sheets and cover loosely with spritzed or greased plastic wrap. Let rise for another 30 minutes. For the Poaching Liquid: Preheat the oven to 375°F (180°C) and prepare the poaching liquid. Bring 8 cups of water to a simmer in a large, wide saucepan or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add baked soda and brown sugar and stir until dissolved. The water will foam slightly. Gently drop the dough ropes into the simmering water, a few at a time, and poach for 15 seconds. Remove the ropes gently using tongs, a slotted spoon, or a metal skimmer and return them to the baking sheets. For the Topping: Whisk together egg and water to form egg wash. Brush ropes with egg wash and sprinkle with pretzel salt or sea salt. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until fully hardened, dark brown, and glossy, checking every few minutes after 30 minutes; switch the sheets between top and bottom racks halfway through. Transfer the baked pretzels to a wire rack and let cool completely before serving. Store the pretzels at room temperature in an airtight container for up to a week.
Here's a simple pretzel recipe that you can try: Ingredients: - 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour - 1 teaspoon salt - 1 teaspoon sugar - 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast - 1 cup warm water - 2 tablespoons baking soda - Coarse salt (for topping) - 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional) Instructions: 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. 2. Gradually add warm water to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. 3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes or until it becomes smooth and elastic. 4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size. 5. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 6. Punch down the dough to release any air bubbles. Divide it into 8 equal pieces. 7. Roll each piece into a long rope, about 20 inches (50 cm) long, and twist into pretzel shapes. 8. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the baking soda. Boil each pretzel for about 30 seconds on each side, then transfer them to the prepared baking sheet. 9. Sprinkle coarse salt on top of the pretzels. 10. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the pretzels turn golden brown. 11. Optional: Brush melted butter over the pretzels as soon as they come out of the oven for added flavor. 12. Allow the pretzels to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy! Note: Feel free to get creative with your pretzels by adding toppings like sesame seeds, cinnamon sugar, or cheese before baking. Happy baking!

Hey, Alabama Boss! Might be pretty late to this video but I highly recommend trying Indio, it's made by the brewery that brews Tecate (Moctezuma/heineken). Is not available in the states as far as I can recall but it is available in border cities around California and Arizona. It's been my favorite kick-back-and-relax beer for years, I hope is your liking.
I am a beer drinker for the past 43 years tried most from around the world as I could get ‘em Tri(xxx) equies (spelling) Modelo negro Estrella jalisco Probably my favorite de Mexico 🇲🇽 Xingu from Brazil is enjoyable Tough getting good imports at least in Massachusetts Don’t see a lot of English ales Scottish ales Even quality German beers are few and far between 😢
“Estrella Jalisco” is brewed in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. It’s an Anheuser-Bush product. It may be a “Mexican Style” beer, but it’s not imported from MX and certainly does not have the heritage that Dos XX and Corona/Modelo have. Glad to see that in a separate episode he had Pacifico, Victoria, Modelo Negra, & Sol.
For all the flavored beers like the chamoy, mango, lime, michelada etc... you gotta make sure you keep them in the cooler upside down. The worst is when you take the first sip and its its just watered down beer.
Vicky Chamoy is my FAVORITE chelada style beverage. I can pop one open in the evening, take a few drinks, call it a night...wake up the next morning and continue drinking that same Vicky Chamoy can...a PLUS for us poor folks.
@@G_xx_ I don't buy them often. Because 5-7 EUR for a 4pack (?) of 0,33 l is way to expensive....And our own beer is even better... There you get a 6pack for 3-4 EUR...
germany obviously holds great brewing where mexico simply got introduced from mostly german brewers, so they're not going to taste too much alike. Even in the US, craft brewers are now imitating "mexican" lagers just so people don't buy import.
@@Duquedecastro There is no real Tequila in those beers, just Tequila flavour. So it can be sold in Germany and Austria from an age of 16. I Lived in Mexico for a couple years, my Favorite is probably Pacifico, Then Dos Equis. I remember in the 80's we were getting 20 bottle cases of Corona for 5 dollars, we got 3 dollars back for the empties!
I live in Mexico and I'm glad you made a second part of mexican beer, and as beer drinker I liked it even before I watch it. I also have to mention, that some of mexican beer brands make some version of beers that are only available in the USA, but not in Mexico. Let start with the vicky. Victoria made those "vicky's" which basically is a mix of beer with other ingridents, like the brand "cerveza sol" the made something call "Clamato" its not to get drunk and they might not for everyone, but on my experience, if you have a bad hangover and you drink one or two of those, it will "cure it" and you can start drinking all over again. About the modelo chelada I havent try it, I would guest its the same. I have not tried Estrella Jalisco, because that is a beer made in the state of Jalisco (some states have their own beer), and I have not seen it in my state, but beside the Estrella Jalisco, dos equis and corona that you tried are good. And Corona Familiar, it the samething as the regular corona, the "Familiar" it just the larger size and yes, its a beach/pool beer
Vicky Victoria Micheladas are the best ready to prepared drinks! That one had Chamoy which makes the drink sweet. Next time get the blue can Vicky Chelada! Yum
I recommended the Dos Equis Amber in the first part. Funny you mentioned it for a cook out. I usually drink it when im having some Mexican food off the grille. Good stuff
Unironically I love the Modelo Mango Chelada. I love the rest of these too. Micheladas date back to at least the 1960's, they've just been experimenting with them.
Chamoy and chelada beer I don’t think should go with the other beers you tried they are completely different in my opinion( I’m Mexican). If you do a part 3 try getting carta blanca caguamita, indio or modelo negra 👌🏼 great video! 😂 keep it up 👍🏼
It is a bad idea to choose beer that comes in an aluminum container. The temperature changes faster and retains more gas, even serving in a glass. I recommend you try a glass bottle and for the family. For example, first the Special Model, then the Ambar Model and then the Black Model (it is last with a cut of meat) 🥩. I also do not recommend that you drink tequila before, because your bica begins to salivate and thus the beer no longer tastes the same. If you are going to drink XX Lagger, then try XX Ambar.
never thought there would be a part two to this! lol...Vicky Chamoy is actually a very good beer specially if you live in Texas with those extreme heats and very long summers
4:59 we mexicans need to prepare that beer before drinking it. You can do it the hardway mixing it in a glass with clamato and chilly powder on the rim of the glass. Or you can just dip the tip of the can on a mix of salt + lemon, the purpose is that you get those mixed on your mouth.
That Vicky Chamoy is a canned pre-made version of a popular cocktail, but people don't reall mix it. The fruit pulp is kept outside the glass, with a sprinkle of salt and chili pepper.
I'm from Mexico and my favorite beers are Michelob Ultra and Bud light and Stella artois but my personal taste is the one that fascinates me is the New Mix Vampiro that has Tequila

And the second one is more a beer version of a bloody Mary so a lot of the flavor sits at the bottom so you have to roll it and mix a little bit
Here's a simple pretzel recipe that you can try:
Ingredients:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons baking soda
- Coarse salt (for topping)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional)
Instructions:

I am a beer drinker for the past 43 years tried most from around the world as I could get ‘em
Tri(xxx) equies (spelling)
Modelo negro
Estrella jalisco
Probably my favorite de Mexico 🇲🇽
Xingu from Brazil is enjoyable
Tough getting good imports at least in Massachusetts
Don’t see a lot of English ales Scottish ales
Even quality German beers are few and far between 😢
Lol only because of the whole Dylan Mulvaney & Budlight fiasco but I still prefer Modelo over Budlight
@@meekkeene2218 I've Been A Beer Drinker For 23 Years 👍🏼 🍺🤤
Yet both are made by A-B Inbev....along with Estrella Jalisco and Pacifico
@@jamescooley5744 No
A 24 case of Corona extra , a place to lay down and a whole day is my favorite thing
Michelada or chelada style beer is often associated with sea food or tacos. There are more variety in flavors now besides the tomato/clamato options.
Las mejores son las hechas con el preparado en el momento, las de lata alc estan bien culeras
@@mxfhz ahuevo
@@mxfhz seh ps tienen puro quimico y culerada y media, las sol clamato medio se salvan.
Then why isn't it called Estelle Missouri.
For all the flavored beers like the chamoy, mango, lime, michelada etc... you gotta make sure you keep them in the cooler upside down. The worst is when you take the first sip and its its just watered down beer.
On behalf of the mexican community id like to apologize for the vicky chamoy, we don't know how that got out, deeply sorry
Finally a part two 🇺🇸 💪
Vicky Chamoy is my FAVORITE chelada style beverage. I can pop one open in the evening, take a few drinks, call it a night...wake up the next morning and continue drinking that same Vicky Chamoy can...a PLUS for us poor folks.
About damn time yall do a part 2!
Waiting 5 more years for part 3
Also, I live in Jalisco atm where Estrella is from. It's definetly a pontoon beer. We don't pontoon here, but the vibe is there.
In Germany we only know Corona Extra as mexican beer... Salitos (Germany) and Desperados (France) are mexican style beer with Tequila flavour...🤔🤘💪
Coming from a mexican Corona Extra is awful. I hope you get a chance one day to try the best ones 🍻
Interesting how the influence came then went back 😂 they add tequila to the beer? What are the characteristics of Mexican beer to Europeans?
@@Duquedecastro There is no real Tequila in those beers, just Tequila flavour. So it can be sold in Germany and Austria from an age of 16. Although Desperados and Salitos Tequila both have 5,9 Vol. % alcohol. But I prefer Desperados. Those beers are refreshing (Lime taste, too) and give you a good bang at the same time....👍🍺
Vicky Chamoy is soo soo good! Perhaps it's a Mexican tastebuds thing.
Alabama boss doesn't have to do anything and he's funny af😂😂
I love Estrella, good beer. I’ve never been able to describe it. But river beer is good 😂
That second one in the thumbnail is my absolute favorite one. I have to buy it every time i see it which is pretty freaking rare.
Half Mexican here, hearing him say this is a pontoon beer hits so hard. I love Mexican Beer. Drinking a Modelo Especial right now.
As a Mexican, many of us don't like that "So called beer" from Victoria, either. Great seeing you like some of our brews.
Can’t wait for part 3!
I love that Modelo chelada mango chili 🌶️ I drink it often
Ingredients
for 8 servings
1 ½ cups water, warm
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 packet active dry yeast
4 ½ cups flour
3 tablespoons oil, divided
⅔ cup baking soda
2 eggs, beaten
coarse salt
Corona extra and corona familiar are not the same
@@95LuisRamirez that’s what I was gonna say. It’s like comparing regular Modelo to Negra Modelo
La familiar si es una botella más grande pero también es un poco más fuerte y pesada.
Dos Equis is so underrated, literally the smoothest Mexican beer out there.
😂😂😂
Victoria is good , unfortunately I can’t have beer , due to wheat hops and other things
Meh
dos equis es basura wey jajaja... even barrilito is a much better beer
Naw. They are good for 1 or 2 but after that I’m craving something else
The Vicky Chamoy is for the next day, when you are hangover. That’s when it tastes great!!! I love that one personally!
Estrella is a fuckin amazing beer. I'll be honest mexico makes some fire beers. I always got a 30pack of estrella in my fridge 😂😊
Vicky Victoria Micheladas are the best ready to prepared drinks! That one had Chamoy which makes the drink sweet. Next time get the blue can Vicky Chelada! Yum
You gotta try the new Modelo Oro. A lot of people disregard the Corona Familiar because of the Corona extra but it is a damm good beer.
Mexican here and agreed 💯 beer must be that just beer, no mixes no disguise just beer
It would have been better if y'all gave him some better beers to drink like Modelo Especial, Carta Blanca, tecate light, bohemia, and indio.
Carta blanca
Hes sleeping on that carta blanca 🤩
tecate is the worst sh1t
Carta blanca was my shit for a while. Oxxo used to had a 3 for 52 pesos promo. My broke ass could get drunk for 100 pesos haha
@@BARMELOZANTHONY-bs3hg me acuerdo cuando se podía comprar 8 Tecates rojos por 100 pesos.
I recommended the Dos Equis Amber in the first part. Funny you mentioned it for a cook out. I usually drink it when im having some Mexican food off the grille. Good stuff
You go buddy 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
love your beer reviews just wish i could get some of them here in Australia
Unironically I love the Modelo Mango Chelada. I love the rest of these too. Micheladas date back to at least the 1960's, they've just been experimenting with them.
Remember Prohibition?
Smuggling substances has been part of our relationship forever
🤢
4:59 we mexicans need to prepare that beer before drinking it. You can do it the hardway mixing it in a glass with clamato and chilly powder on the rim of the glass.
Or you can just dip the tip of the can on a mix of salt + lemon, the purpose is that you get those mixed on your mouth.
Victoria makes a good beer without fruit. Fruit is no bueno.
That Vicky Chamoy is a canned pre-made version of a popular cocktail, but people don't reall mix it. The fruit pulp is kept outside the glass, with a sprinkle of salt and chili pepper.
That Boy knows good beer when he tastes it. Great review.😊
If you were interested in a second part, and aren't Mexican, then congratulations, you have now earned a Brown card 🇲🇽👌🏽 welcome Raza
When I went to Mexico this year they got theses new Vicky’s with mango or pineapple and some with tequila for a hang over
Any Mexican beer with spices added is usually a morning beer to get past the hangover
I'm from Mexico and my favorite beers are Michelob Ultra and Bud light and Stella artois but my personal taste is the one that fascinates me is the New Mix Vampiro that has Tequila
Corona familiar in the glass is my favorite beer in Mexico. Perfect for a day of carne asada out in the country
The key to good pretzels is baking soda and water sprayed on the pretzels as they are cooking.
Watching this drunk is a whole new level of appreciation!! Keep drinking buddy!!
Pretzel: Flour, yeast, seasoning, final touch is to brush a caustic acid over then cook.
Perfect ranking, the last two were surely an attempt to rescue sour leftovers
Hey Boss man ,! Mexican in Texas here , Estrella Jalisco is what I like to drink when I go to the River with the Fam
He is happy with his moonshine🎉🎉🎉no complaints ❤
