Nice one Mr, hope you got o e of them Ice Creams when you were there 🤣👍🏻 we had a few when waiting to chase the tide out, but does get rather muddy 🤣👍🏻 great images as always Mr 📷😉👍🏻
The way you can have such a fulfilling chat with a lifeless statue beats me! 😂 Jokes aside. What a place! I can't blame you for shooting them a lot. I don't think you failed mate. Some of the shots are otherworldly and your video is quite fun!
Greetings from Arlington Heights IL, USSA; Great shots! I would say your venture was an absolute success! Thank you for your time and posting, I enjoy your videos very much.
That's one thing you will never be is a failure. I enjoyed your little chat with Antony, it made me laugh. You captured some really nice image's as usual mate. C u on the next one.
Well I would take failures like that any day of the week!! Some great images Matey, BUT one of the best things I love are the titles you give to each image. Creativity personified
These photographs are wonderful. I want to get myself to Crosby Beach next time I’m in Liverpool. And how could I not like a video that’s called The Last of the Anthonys when my name is Anthony.
Great images Mali and vlog. I grew up in Tollbar (Thatto Heath 🙄) so not far from you. I'm now living in Cheshire exploring the Northwest again with me camera, they were Oystercatchers flying by not Geese as you correctly stated.
Superb Mali. I love the start of this film. I could feel your personality bursting through this one... gently for sure. You got the talking to a statue thing spot on... but then the pictures and the journey through the short, perfect. Start-middle-end stuff. Three-act structure, with the hero images at the end being your happy ending. For me, perfect.
I met Antony Gormley when he was working on the maquettes for the 'Another Place' statues. A bit of a surreal experience, just Antony Gormley, a trestle table set up in a damp tent in Walton Hall Park on a PR exercise. The kids got to play with clay so it was something to keep them busy on a wet day. Nice guy, quiet but nice. Costa del Scouse ... that takes me back 😊
Nice one Mali, you could see in your eyes as you gazed at the Gormley statues, that intense, almost electrifying, sense of what can only be described as ............. Jealousy 😂😂😂😂😂. I'm on the NE coast as I type this, but a bit furfer norf of Scarborough 😊
Been there once Mali, torrential rain, so much so we didn’t even make it onto the beach. I got one shot which wasn’t even worth bothering with, from the ramp going down to the beach, I’ll visit again but I really need to learn how to read these tide times properly as I keep getting there too late, story of my life. Love the images though, I think that even though we go there for the sculptures, the pipe marker with its wooden slats is more my kind of thing, I’m not too good on composition to get much out of the sculptures but I’ll give it a go. Hope t9 join the Patreon next week, payday Monday but it will only be the lower one I’m afraid mate. Keep up the great work, for entertainment value alone makes your videos worth watching, then the great photography on top is a very nice bonus. #Sithee #letscreate
Thank you kindly, it was more about the fact no one fails and sorry, alittle click bate. I’m making these videos it’s about time I tried to get people to watch them 🤣 thanks again for watching
Finally, he’s lost it😂 In a way, quite an emotive start. In terms of failure, how can you not come away with something you like and want from there if shooting all long exposures. Still some creative results in the mix however and away from the norm which is always good to see
A great set of photographs Mali. I always find Crosby beach and the iron men a chalange. I have not been brave enough to tackle it when the masses have been there 😊
Just to think they were over here in Belgium (De Panne) in 2003 before their permanent move to Merseyside. Sadly that was about 6 years before I rekindled my intrest in photography. Failure my a**e!!
Hey Mali, I've been missing for a while..........don't ask mate! Anyway, your video here at Crosby. Don't call it Liverpool as the locals get all twitchy and they get all offended LOL. I've been before, wandered around and had absolutely no success. People and dogs have been my main pain in the a**e. I know, I know, it's a public place..........BUT. In a past life, I've fished there........we used to park at the end of Hall Road......we never caught owt (other than used condoms and sanitary towels) so referred to it as F**k All Road. My previous attempts at taking photos gave similar results so the name sticks. HOWEVER, watching your video has given me new inspiration so I WILL give it another go........EVENTUALLY, as, at the moment, life and all it's attributes is doing it's level best to stop me getting out. Take care, stay safe.
I think that you were very fortunate that someone concerned for your mental welfare didn't call the Police while you were talking to the statue. Despite the psychosis, you made some stunning images on your trip to Crosby - well done, Mali.
Blimey in the first 3 minutes or so I thought you’d been on the magic mushrooms but it all turned out fine. Northumberland and Scarborough you say, erm Northumberland you’ll enjoy it there but don’t bring you mate Anthony. Great video in true Mali style
How can a visit to Costa del Scouse ever be a failure. Lovely minimalist images Mali, you did my neighbourhood proud. If you are ever in Oz (Western Australia that is) be sure to look up Lake Ballard they have some amazing Gormleys here, they are Aboriginal inspired statues (men and women) standing in a massive salt lake bed. If you are lucky you may get to photograph wild camels that traverse the area too. Great to see my home town, have a great weekend 🙏🙏🙏
Mr Davies, I'm a little worried about that intro. Not only were you talking to a statue, but you were filming it, for the purposes of public entertainment. When one questions life choices, this surely has to be a choice that is questioned. Seriously though, definitely not a failure. You had a nice day at the beach, probably made a few sandcastles whilst waiting for the long exposures and got some great images.
This is a very difficult place to tackle. It seems very target rich, but it is actually not. My most successful attempts, which are actually quite good if I may say so myself, have been a couple of Polaroids taken on SX70, and a strom scene whcih is very drramatic. Anything else that I have tried has been nothing but ' picture postcard ' at best. Loved that last photograph., the water still has texture and energy. Smooth long exposure is not my scene, sadly.
Nobody can ever be a failure who visits Crosby except me, I have never been there! but just maybe I might in the future, don't underestimate yourself you got a great set of images there and very cleverly displayed at the end! you looked as if you really enjoyed talking to Tony and waving to your fans as they walked past you, I just wonder whether they felt sorry for you talking to a statue? It looked better in the sunshine than it does when its raining so stop moaning! Thank you for taking us with you again.....
Thanks for watching Des, started the video in 2020, and three times it’s scuppered me, it was more about failing to succeed. You’d enjoy it there Des. 👍
As you say how on earth did they agree to put these works of art inot the sands; you try to get planning permission to build anything on your own land garden and you have to pay and jump through a 1000 hoops with conditions applied
Thank you very much for watching, if you'd like to keep the videos a flowing or join my growing community head over to Patreon: www.patreon.com/Malidaviesphotography
“Lost and Lonely” is a belting image. Would love to see that on a metal frame. Cracking vlog as always 👏
Nice one Mr, hope you got o e of them Ice Creams when you were there 🤣👍🏻 we had a few when waiting to chase the tide out, but does get rather muddy 🤣👍🏻 great images as always Mr 📷😉👍🏻

What an intro :-)
Loved your shots, all great storytellers just like you
Far too kind but I’ll take it, thanks Jedi 😍👍
Excellent images Mali, I'm jealous, I live in the middle of farm country in the USA, no seas within 900+ miles. Thanks for sharing!
wonderful mali lovely shots
The way you can have such a fulfilling chat with a lifeless statue beats me! 😂 Jokes aside. What a place! I can't blame you for shooting them a lot. I don't think you failed mate. Some of the shots are otherworldly and your video is quite fun!
Haha thank you for watching. The failure bit comes from three years of trying to get a good image. 😁👍
Greetings from Arlington Heights IL, USSA; Great shots! I would say your venture was an absolute success! Thank you for your time and posting, I enjoy your videos very much.
Antony... The biggus dickus! Nice play in making your own, Mali
That's one thing you will never be is a failure.

Thanks a lot Jeff! Eye I pulled it back a bit in the end 😬 😍👍 thanks about the names, very kind
Fabulous images Mali!
These photographs are wonderful. I want to get myself to Crosby Beach next time I’m in Liverpool.
And how could I not like a video that’s called The Last of the Anthonys when my name is Anthony.
Failure, the only thing I am good at... Great video Mali and I love the minimalism to the images. Excellent work!

I would adjudge that to be a creative win Mali, so much diversity in your images and worked the conditions well

Eh up, Bonjour, very kind sir! Never even thought of the three sea shells 🐚 structure. All ad-libbed. Thank you very much my good friend 😍🙏
Great video and shots, Mali. Really liked the first couple of minutes also.

My favourite of your videos yet, fantastic! Great shots at the end, brilliant titles.. Very existential 😎🙏
No, you’ra genius 👍🏼😍
Steady on my good friend 😍 hehe thank you isn’t enough

Hahaha like your sausages!
Thanks Alan 😁👍

Love it funny
magnifico so inspiring and moving ! you've outdone yourself !
Failure? No chance. Love the Break the Spell image, it’s breathtaking.
Break the spell of lost and lonely is my fav I think brother. Entertaining as always bud 🤙😊
Thanks bud 😍👍
Absolutely stunning images Mali.
I call that a win not a failure
I like

If that's failure Mali can I have some? Stunning images.

@@MaliDaviesPhotography Just keep taking epic shots and we will keep watching. No need for click bait Mali. 👍
Wonderful set as always - not a failure in sight 😅
Thank you David 👍 thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.

What/who, are those statues please?
Anthony Gormley - Another place a wonderful place to visit for these sculptures. Thanks for watching
As you say how on earth did they agree to put these works of art inot the sands; you try to get planning permission to build anything on your own land garden and you have to pay and jump through a 1000 hoops with conditions applied
I’m glad they did though, they do make the place a lot better. Thanks so much for watching 👍
