What is your favorite LONG Exposure PHOTOGRAPHY subject???
I have 2 favorites, waterfalls and lakes. Living in the landlocked state of Idaho, I don't have a lot of oceans or seas to photograph.
Lakes seas and night traffic long exposure timelapse(use slider to create more dramatic angle).
Falls and Sea or river

Some nice shots from Iceland there.
My favorite landscape subject is waterfalls. I don't get to do them very often due to physical limitations. I so miss taking hikes in the woods. But I do what I can. I love your videos. I just got my first ND filter. We are taking a trip to take my son to grad school and I hear there are a lot of waterfalls in the area. So I am hoping I will be able to get to some of them. So glad you are back and seem to be doing well. Take care of yourself.

Long story short, I was an event photographer in CA for over 12 years, and also the lead photographer for a school district. Lots of work, lots of people and then suddenly retired. My dream was landscape photography and my husband's job transferred us to Northeaster Washington state, PERFECT!
4 years later I haven't gotten out much here in one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Hip replacement, 2 PE episodes with in a year of each other and blah blah blah. I can symphonize with your injury and I so appreciate the extensive education you're providing. I've always love images of long exposure and now that I'm healing and thanks to you I have a great educator and way to start learning what I really want to do. Thank you Attilio!!!!

Absolutely amazing video. I can see that your excitement level is higher in this video. I love the longer exposures of the waterfalls for the full silky effect of the water. Also, the 15 mins exposure of the rapids section was simply breath taking. LOVED IT!

Thank you for creating these videos. I have been a photographer for the better part of 30 years, a short break during the transition from film to digital. I do landscapes and discovered your videos while re-educating myself with long-exposure photography. I am excited to get back in the field doing long exposures rather than the "snap-shots" I have been doing for the last decade. I value your insights and cannot wait to see where this takes me...and maybe someday I can return to Italy to soak in more of your wonderful country.

Hi Attilio and thx for this video with all your advices. I am not so convinced by the first situation and the frame but it s very interesting to see the impact of the duration of the shutter speed. The second spot is far more interesting and the way your are « cleaning » the scene is impressive. Keep on feeding us with these kind of videos, we love them.

This takes me back. My very first waterfalls photo shoot was 30 years ago at Ramona Falls in the Mt Hood National Forest. My Pentax K1000 with remote shutter release did not let me down.

I'm just waiting to get outside once the rain stops and go to Silver Falls SP, Oregon near my home to shoot some more long exposures. It has been a very wet winter and spring. Love that B+W shot of Multnomah Falls. I've seen many images from there, but yours is quite unique.

Nicely done Attilio, Stunning photography in somewhat challenging conditions. Showing the differences in shutter speed is a God send. Never guessed 2 minutes vs even 15 seconds would be so similar. I'm off to the beach in 5hrs, (2.30am) with River to try at least a 4 min exposure... highest I have gone so far is 2 mins, Wish Me Luck...oh and good light, please.

Thanks for this video… I love long exposure photography but have not tried it too much over the years. I am inspired now to go and find some places to explore and try it with some of the techniques you explained… I need to find some waterfalls as there is much of a choice around where I photograph.

The long exposure I like the most is photography of water, especially lakes and sea and of course also long exposure of star photography.
It may sound a little strange but there is something calm and relaxing about long exposure shots

Recently visited the waterfalls in the Brecon Becons in Wales. Love capturing the waterfalls with a long exposure. I preferred the smaller shutter speeds as showed the movement in the water better. Another great video. 👏👏

Living in Oregon, USA, waterfalls are definitely high on the list, but I think long exposure seascapes are my favorite for the abstract nature they offer.
I love Oregon! :-)
Truly enjoyed the scenery and great tips. Being on the downhill slide of 67, I find it takes no time at all to get out of shape. Not fare lol. I try to get at least 10-20 miles a day.

I love water in every form…
Water and its movement always have something magical, which captures attention. And this can sometimes be a problem; focussed on water you lose sight of the overall composition creating images of little impact. That's what happens to me sometimes, watching your videos also helps to capture the really important aspects of the long exposure photography
