Oddly enough, I'm more of a Sans-serif font guy, but that is a nice serif font. Love the logo. Geez, hopefully I can be as talented as you are one of these days.

This is a great video, a lot of good information. I think if your subject requires more time because of the information you are teaching time should not matter.
Hey I have an idea. What if you held small contest like come up with a fake company etc and have people come up with logos and you can pick a top 5 and then have people vote for #1 then award them a custom hand letter from you or something.

That's a really good tutorial, since you show a very structured and target-oriented way in order to concretize the desired style. Where did you research the logos and how?
You could also try Ledavio mood boards - it’s especially for creating mood boards with integrated image search and test-driving nearly all fonts in free text fields.
I would like to see this process or something similar for a comic book/cartoon/nerdy style.
looked awesome man, did you try the serifs at the top of the type and not at the bottom? just a thought if you wanted to link the icon a bit more. Loving the videos recently, keep it up!

I agree you should thicken the middle line of the tower, but I would leave the walls of the castle thicker than the lines of the shape underneath. It separates the two elements, makes the shape look like a house banner (to me it represents a sense of unity and pride within the company...). Don't know if that shape was meant to be a banner since you were talking about it being a shield but I figured I would give my opinion... love your videos!
Edit: just realised this vid is from 2017 so the logo is probably finished :P
great video man, also I have a question how do you give ownership of one of your logos to a client? I have looked online but can't find a clear answer.
Can you tell me where you got the logos in the beginning of the video? Did you just google logos till you found some that you liked or was there a thought process that went into selecting them?

Hi Will, does the client see you moodboard or is it just for your eyes as part of your process? Just wondering how a client would process seeing a moodboard with a bunch of different designs on it and how they contribute to the process.
