    Who it's for: Anyone looking to create and/or use powerful custom business apps.
    What it is: Power Apps is a suite of apps, services, and connectors, as well as a data platform, that provides a rapid development environment to build custom apps for your business needs. Using Power Apps, you can quickly build custom business apps that connect to your data stored either in the underlying data platform (Microsoft Dataverse), or in various online and on-premises data sources (SharePoint, OneDrive, SQL Server, Microsoft® 365, Dynamics 365, and more). Power Apps enables users to create feature-rich, custom apps without writing code. You can also create apps from scratch or use the collection of templates available.
    What you'll learn: This course is designed for app makers/creators, app users, and some other minor roles. You’ll learn about different types of apps (canvas, model-driven, and portal apps). We’ll create a new canvas app from scratch that will be used to review pertinent financial data. You’ll learn about the Power Apps interface, connecting to a data source, working with app screens, changing properties, saving an app, and playing an app. Then, we’ll move on to creating apps from SharePoint lists and a variety of other data sources. Along the way, you’ll learn how to work with Power Apps components such as galleries, forms, screen controls, images, and format controls. We’ll show you how to access and share apps. Finally, we’ll end the course with a bonus section on adding Power BI to a Power App.

    The pace is perfect, the level of detail is super for a starter. I wish you would have completed the logic in the Financial App, so when for example one clicks in Germany, you only see Germany data in the second screen in the app, not all of the collection.
    Apart from this, the training was super useful, congratulations and thanks for the content and quality! Top training.

    I started learning Power Apps last month and feel the biggest challenge in this environment is "delegation." It affects all data sources: Dataverse, Sharepoint, SQL Server, etc. Delegation is a way for Power Apps to avoid slowdown in performance. Some tasks can be delegated, while some can't in order to improve performance. When you have tasks that can't be delegated, you have to re-write the code in often obtuse and treacherous ways. For instance, if your data source is SQL Server, then Sum(If(A = B, Table1, Table2)) is not a delegable task, but If(A = B, Sum(Table1), Sum(Table2)) is. If you have a really long formula, it's hard to spot such a subtle workaround. And if you can't find any workaround to avoid a non-delegable task, then Power Apps can only process up to 2000 records, thus potentially returning incorrect counts or sums in your results. And of course, if your app can't even count or sum correctly, your app is no good. So this delegation issue is a pretty big deal and should be top priority for any app designer to learn.

    Great work but my version does not have a menu var or the easy peasy navigate-pick your screen action button. Went through way too much searching just to find out you have to write the formula now for any action. This is a completely awful change by Microsoft in my opinion.

      I ran into this issue as well. If you have the app create unique identifier info in the beginning it should solve this issue. I think the app sees all the rows with blank cells beneath the "Country" header as the same and is getting confused that they aren't unique

    I have 3 lists, item, IN & OUT ,all lists have Item_code column common, I want to update the stock availablity in item list automatically while running my powerapps
    Total sum of group by item_code IN list - Total sum of group by item_code OUT list

    • @LearnitTraining
      @LearnitTraining  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Certainly! To automatically update the stock availability in your "Item" list while running your PowerApps, you can follow these steps:
      1. **Create a Collection**:
      - In your PowerApps app, create a collection to store the information as the user interacts with the shopping cart. You can use the `Collect` function to add items to this collection. For example:
      ```powerapps
      Collect(
      ShoppingItemsOrdered,
      {
      ProductImage: ThisItem.'Product Image',
      ProductID: ThisItem.'Product ID',
      ProductName: ThisItem.'Product Name',
      ProductPrice: ThisItem.'Product Price',
      ProductQuantity: QuantityValue.Selected.Result,
      ProductTotalCost: (ThisItem.'Product Price' * QuantityValue.Selected.Result),
      ProductNewStock: ThisItem.'Product Stock' - QuantityValue.Selected.Result
      }
      );
      ```
      - The `ProductNewStock` field calculates the updated stock based on the quantity selected by the user.
      2. **Submit Order**:
      - When the user clicks the submit order button, use the `ForAll` function to update the original item list (e.g., 'Items - Spirits') with the new stock values:
      ```powerapps
      ForAll(
      ShoppingItemsOrdered,
      UpdateIf(
      'Items - Spirits',
      'Product ID' = ProductID,
      {'Product Stock': ProductNewStock}
      )
      );
      ```
      - This formula will update the stock on the original item list without any errors.
      Remember to adjust the field names and list names according to your specific setup. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, feel free to ask! 😊
