A delightful walk! I've picked out a place or two where I would live - on a narrow street, perhaps with a bit of garden, and just steps away from all the shops and pubs! Ah, I can dream...
So lovely no littered streets so clean and peaceful just so and calm loved it no music is great you get the feeling you are walk around which is so mice now we are too old to walk these great places than you so much I loved it love Christine
This morning walk is lovely! The old Abbey, its ruins, once bustling with human life now stand in silence, with their previous residents from long ago rest peacefully in their graves, as birds sing their morning songs. Thank you for sharing ☺️
From Pennsylvania in the US...thank you so much for this gorgeous walk through Malmesbury! I am in awe over the architecture and the grounds around the Abbey, the hotel, all of the surrounding cottages and shops, the stones, the trees, the morning sunrise - I've been to England several times but never had the good fortune to visit Malmesbury, so again, thank you for the opportunity to just inhale it all visually on my computer!! It means so much to me.
Another wonderful walk around a beautiful and charming English town. I'm always impressed that you know all the best views and most interesting sights in all these places.
My home. England's oldest borough (with a charter granted by Athelstan, first king of all the English, grandson of Alfred the Great) and home to Elmer, the flying Monk. What many don't know is that the spire on the Abbey was actually taller than that of Salisbury Cathedral (before it was ruined by the dissolution of the monasteries) A lovely walk :-)
Thank you ever so much for the lovely videos. Me and my boyfriend watch them in the evening to relax. He's a History major and pretty much enjoys your information on each place. Love from Manchester, UK 🥰
How lovely, it is my pleasure. I triple check my facts, so hopefully they are all good 🤞. Thank you for watching and the nice comment 😊... from a couple of our down the road 👋
Really Amazing, the morning walk and Abbey and town gardens and history was all amazing ...and i didn't know there is the same Grey squirrels in GB, are the same one's we have in North America!..I enjoyed seeing these interesting sights ..I hope to visit GB some day! cheers friend.
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes the grey squirrel is not native to England and was introduced in 1880, taking a lot of our native red squirrels habitats. I hope you do get to visit one, there are so many nice places over here.
I always look forward to your videos and I was not disappointed with this one. It’s not just the beauty of Malmesbury, but the beautifully crafted way it has been captured in the early hours of the morning. It affords you the time to observe and think. This knocks spots off anything you would find on the usual television channels. Thank you very much.
Thank you Anthony, you are too kind with your comments. It is greatly appreciated. I just feel so lucky to have the opportunity to walk and share the experience.
Stunningly beautiful. I think it is one of the prettiest places in Britain. I just love your videos no chat just boots on the ground and amazing picturess buildings and quaint little houses quiet streets and water and wildlife. Next please. 🙋😺😺😺😺😺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
You have stolen my heart with this wonderful and delightful video!!.. thank you for taking us on a walk, albeit virtual, and thethe video was extremely immersive, beautiful and so vivid!!!… and the historical information too was very helpful about this being continually inhabited since ages and the wars fought… The stillness and the peace is something that can’t be worded and only be experienced!!.. THAT such a place exists just 160 kms off London (100 miles) is something truly unbelievable!!!.. am thrilled with this video!!.. am humbled, elated and yet feel wonderful watching this video..
Glad you could join in with the walk and had such a great experience, it really was a lovely morning and a special location. Good wishes for the rest of your week.
Outside of the huge conurbations of London, Birmingham and Manchester, it is astonishing how there are so many villages and small towns that still exist within another time frame. Adam (EII) does great work in so often revealing them to us. Robert, UK.
This is beautiful. I looked it up, it is in Wiltshire, northeast of Bristol. ;) The population is 5,380. You could do tours of England. Thanks for doing this video. Wikipedia: Malmesbury is a town and civil parish in Wiltshire, England. As a market town it became prominent in the Middle Ages as a centre for learning focused on and around Malmesbury Abbey, the bulk of which forms a rare survival of the dissolution of the monasteries
Thank you so much for these videos, I wished for something like this to pop up on the internet but I never actually looked for it, I assumed it doesn't exist. I was planning to go around places like these in the UK before Covid started, just to walk around, eat and sleep. I'm from Serbia and I hope this 'plan' will come true soon. I will watch every single of your videos to figure out my route.

Thank you for this wonderful video. 💕 this place is so peaceful and relaxed, even the squirrels stay put…it made me laugh, did it really not hear you coming? Maybe it was simply not scared of humans 🐿 gorgeous.
Excellent work, very interesting. It can be improved by stopping more on the facades, gardens, walkways, shop fronts, etc. Thank you very much for offering such a good product.
@@everywhereisimagined Thank you for getting close to such excellent landscapes that we would never appreciate otherwise. Carlos Mazzi - Santa Fe - Argentina
Thanks for sharing this village. Lovely place. Curious, do you usually record on early Sunday mornings? I notice that there is often very few people out and about even at 7-7:30. That was not my experience when I have been in the UK, though it has been a while, and I know this might have been during the Covid lockdown allowing only one outing.
Early mornings Saturday or Sunday are the quietest, Sunday usually the most quiet. Some of my earlier videos where done when there were still some Covid-19 restrictions in place. Thanks for watching :)
