* If you like Japanese rock or pop rock, you might also like Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's song called "Choudo lino". You know Kyary, she's the one that sang that song "Pon Pon Pon" and "Pin Pon Ga Nannai".
What a good reaction, the voices of the girls are beautiful, more that of SuMetal, and not to mention the band, spectacular! Thank you for continuing to react BABYMETAL, we hope for more!!
Iine is a fave. I love the early period as it was fun and entertaining. I have both the Black Night and the Red Night on DVD and one of the nights on CD. The other CD is too expensive. Great stuff.
Love most shows 2015 at Saitama, Mokahari and Yokohama....than all Fox-Shows 2017....and all others, to be honest....ty for you effort and wonderfull smiles in you reaction...you made my day...Kitsune Up!!!!!!!!!!!
2 great fun songs exellent double reaction again not only did Yui and Moa have to dance and sing on a revolving stage ! Su had to sing and dance on a small platform above the ground she had to turn herself in time with Yui and Moa while not getting dizzy and falling !! These girls are the ultimate in performers . 🤘🦊🤘Happy Foxday ( yesterday )
As usual, wonderful reactions! IINE has a melody from the Japanese children's song "Kogane Mushi" and CATCH ME IF YOU CAN has some lyrics from "Red Shoes". A good example of mixing innocence and brutality.
When are we going to see Babymetal release a workout program? The calories the singers and the rest of the band burn though each show must be off the charts!
You have arrived just in time to be part of the Fox Day, April 1st BABYMETAL celebrate this day, and we got some exciting news about BM future, if you didn't, go watch official channel. This two song are part of their first album and i dare to said the most representative of their kawaii metal sound and visuals, full of "MoiMoi" (that is YuiMetal and MoaMetal fusioned name when they are together doing, you know, their thing UwU) and fun party lead by our young teenage queen SuMetal.
Iine! is one of the most mistaken title pronunciation, people usually read "Line", but i guess is ok the mistake, even them got it wrong on their official streaming service platforms, just be careful with "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" song it goes with same thing with the "Ljime" title lul btw if you watch that song please go for the live at Sonisphere 2014 version. This is a fun party night song which goes all over the place, giving you the typical Hi-NRG "DDR" (dance emulator game) vibes mixed with heavy metal breakdown and some crazy hip hop too, they don't want to leave any genre behind. The early official MV shows a mecha kawaii super young MoiMoi, as well one of the early setup of hairstyle with SuMetal two piggy tail, and the other girls with one ponytails.
You can also have another version called "Vega Mix" which had different guitar arrangements and another hip hop interlude by our lovely angel of love and tomato princess, it was released for Sakura Gakuin Nendo 2011 album. If you don't know, they got a commentary audio series of their early official MV, and Iine! is one of those, highly recommended.
And "Catch Me If You Can" is pure fun mixed with a creepy lyrics vibes about playing a japanese tag game about hide & seek with a Oni, a mythological ogre japanese creature which was used for parents to the kids to be afraid of strangers, the lyrics contains many reference to that. SuMetal told us that YuiMetal used to be very afraid of the beggining of this song with the footsteps and the gong when recording this, our kawaii tomato princess. 🍅❤️
Budokan 2014 is a great version, but you got also Legend 1997 in 2013 and MetroRock 2015, the last one is at Babymetal Reactor Resource channel under the title "CMIYC live M3TROROCK 2015", one of their "strong performance" at festival without their top notch production, just them and crowd.
I so much enjoy watching your beautiful smile as you enjoy the performances by these girls and the band. I also like how you react to at least two performances at a time because it immediately shows the people watching how their songs/performances are always different and splendidly unpredictable You are spot on when you say (paraphrase) “the performance is playful while at the same time so heavy”. Always look forward to seeing your BabyMetal reactions pop up o the Internet.
Nice reaction as always! Actually Catch me.. was my first BM song and instantly got me, cuz it brought some fun into an old mans life (ok, I'm only 60 now, alls well!). If you have the minute, you should watch the Iine MV, cuz it has that fabulous rap-section and they were SO young haha. Can't wait to see your face melt when you will react to their Sakura Gakuin clips. That will make you love them even more. Greets from Germany and stay safe there!
Nice reactions. Two fun songs that stick in your head. iine is an early example of how Babymetal can't be put in a box. Metal yes but also far more than that. Catch Me if You Can has Moa finding a hiding space under the Oni that Su is portraying at the time. Back then Moa was smol and easily could do that. Now Moa is almost Su-metals height. Almost. I wondered if she knocked Su over in rehearsal. They haven't done that move in a while. Babymetal just announced their break is over. And everyone rejoiced. Their teaser for it is on youtube. Babymetal everything you wanted in music and somethings you didn't know you needed.
Great & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 In Japan arena show, every audience works as a piece of stage set, a scenic effect, some backdrop or sound effects for BM. What's more, whenever the girls want total silence, we close our mouths and stop heartbeats 😄 . Then, once the girls command to make a noise, the circuit breaker in our brain fail. Does team BABYMETAL force us to do so? No. On the contrary, we believe we are entitled to be a part of their performance. That's all. (Don't say "you are tamed !" 😄😄 Fans in foreign countries do likewise.)
Opening youtube and finding this reaction is the best thing about this Saturday! I love this song. The numbers 6 and 4 of my top 10 Babymetal. As always a great reaction, beauti. See you in the next, Megitsune 🤟🏻🦊🇯🇵🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for your reaction and smile. As always great and I really enjoy. I knew on you wilk like it. Babymetal never disapointed. Kitsune uuuuuupppp!!! 🦊🤘🦊🤘🦊🤘
Another great reaction, Verdy! And you nailed the title of "Iine"....well done! That song is a total mash-up of styles, that works perfectly of course! "Catch Me If You Can" if a great mix of heavy and Kawaii! Always looking forward your your Babymetal reactions!
Thank you for the double reaction It tends to get blocked but you should at least watch the music video for Iine even if you can't do a reaction It's so good and you will get to see the part they cut out for the live performance or changed for the live performance
Excellent reactions (again), thanks! The Budokan 2014 concerts still are among my favorites (if not my favorite) specially the Black Night. "Iine" is a crazy song. They mix EDM, hip-hop and death metal because... why not? :) I really love the laser show and the way they blend the EDM and the metal at the end. "Catch me if you can" was my very first BABYMETAL song and it was exactly this performance. The intro by the Kami Band is awesome and the song is definitely on their heavier side but it has also a very cute choreo including my personal favorite movement: the infamous "Moa slide" 😜 Until next time!
I have been watching BM's reaction videos daily for over a year now and your reaction is NO1. I love your reactions so much! "iine" is pronounced "iːne". Please take a look at this video as well. This is my favorite IINE video. th-cam.com/video/RLK1kPEmg5g/w-d-xo.html Catch me if you can is a hide-and-seek song. A person who searches for someone who is hiding is called 鬼(oni). 鬼(oni) are the same 鬼(oni) that appear in the 鬼滅の刃(Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). iine (EE-NAY) is my favourite PopRapMetalTechno song ever! And CMIYC is definitely the best Metal song ever about playing Hide and Seek! Great choice and great reaction as ever. Merci beaucoup!
Two excellent reactions to two of their most fun songs, thank you. 'Iine' (and well done on not calling it Line - I think you heard them singing it throughout so you know the pronunciation now) means something like "so good" (think of a thumbs up emoji) and it was the next song they released after 'Doki Doki Morning'. With iine they were establishing very early on that none of the rules for song writing or just sticking to one genre were going to apply to BABYMETAL. If they want to have a song that starts with EDM, drops into a hip hop section (they do rap in the studio version but that is replaced in most - but not all - live performances with the call and response they did in this one) that then drops into death metal before heading back to EDM to finish, then that was what they would do. Unlike virtually every other band there would be no pigeon hole, no fitting neatly into one box, no rigid genre for BABYMETAL - they were always going to do exactly as they pleased, mix whatever styles and genres they fancied mixing - and they will always keep us guessing. 'Catch Me If You Can' is the best metal song about playing a game that's a sort of cross between tag, blind man's bluff and hide & seek I've ever heard. It is the perfect mix of the two extremes with the brutal instrumentals and the sweet vocals - and the game they are playing, they're playing with an Oni (a sort of Japanese ogre that appears at some Japanese festivals with the pure intention of frightening children👹 - there is more to it than that of course, but that idea just amuses me) ... or the tagger is pretending to be the Oni. The growling vocals (they are on a backing track) are the Oni asking things like "Are you ready?" and the best response has to be "Maada da yo" (No, not yet) while doing a running away from an Oni dance.
I think you should really take a look at the music video for "Iine!" - I think it's among their best MV's. I think most of the One would agree that "Iine!" is the biggest "WTF?!" getter that Babymetal has! And "CMIYC" is definitely among my favorites! Great reactions!!! Keep doing Babymetal!!! 🦊🤘
First of all, congratulations for calling it IINE and not LINE, as most reactors do xD If you want to hear how they pronounce it, just listed to the last 10-15 seconds of the song, they say it multiple times :D These are just 2 really fun song, and I absolutely love IINE!! If you have time, I would suggest you to also watch the music video for it! It's the 2nd one they ever released and so they are super-young in it! Moreover they don't have that trap-beat part on the song but a different switch up! In live shows they added that trap-beat for a nice crowd interaction section! Then there is the 2011 live version at a Sakura Gakuin show, where at the end of that part Yui and Moa say: Wait, but isn't this supposed to be Metal? And then that metal breakdown occurs! It's so funny 🤣🤣
⚡ 💀 💕 / 👍 - ⚡ 💀 💕 / 🏃♀👹 I love that Budokan Black Night concert. It's kind of hard to believe that BABYMETAL had been an independent project, outside of Sakura Gakuin, for a little less than a year before the Budokan shows on March 1st and 2nd, 2014. The level of professionalism they had already achieved was amazing. Yui and Moa mentioned in interviews that it took a lot of focus and concentration to dance on that rotating platform. Both 'Rondo of Nightmare' and '4 no Uta' had their live premiere the night before at the Red Night concert.
@@rickwagner- Maybe I'm weird but sometimes I feel the need to rewatch the giggling Suzuka and Mariri video: 20130313 Sakura Gakuin Nakamoto Suzuka & Sugimoto Mariri Introduction ENG SUB. Maybe to remember they are not just amazing professionals.
Great reaction! Iine: I really like that song, MV (the breakdown hits much harder!) or live (long crowd interaction) and can only recommend you watch the compilation video of Iine from KuroKiitsunesama, the rap part begins at 1:30 and got some really great views of different stages with the epic shot starting at 2:05. Catch me if you can: Great song, starting with the kami solos (!!!) going right into the song with many parts for Yui & Moa, the heavy instrumentals and growling, the cute choreo with the use of the lift from the budokan stage and Su´s vocals on the catchy refrain.
Nobody listens to TECHNO. BABYMETAL- Hold my chocolate KOBA-METAL, SU-MOA-YUI, how many different types of music can you sing in one song? SU-MOA-YUI, YES. I always like the look on peoples face when the rap part starts and then the metal part drops. KAMI band isn't no joke, they are all world class musicians. Playing hide & seek with a flesh-eating demon, that screams metal. BABYMETAL 4 LIFE...
They completely rewrote the book....Not to mention that fact that they were so kawaii, teddy bears had to go on unemployment......'Catch Me if You Can' is the song that sucked me in....I know you enjoy the Kami Band..if you want to see them on a smaller stage in a very different setting, check out the video..'Takayoshi Ohmura Band Solo'.....It's kind of heartbreaking though, because the first soloist is Mikio Fujioka who died tragically in 2018....guitar genius
Welcome back to the Babymetal foxhole. The first some "IIne" (eenay) or "so good" is just a rocking good time. "Catch Me If You Can" is about a Japanese playground game where the tagger is called the "oni-san" and asks if the kids are ready and Yui and Moa answer "no not yet". Oni are Japanese ogres or trolls that are sometimes used to scare young children into being good. Another interesting cultural reference in the lyrics is to it being dangerous "to go out in red shoes" which refers to a Japanese children's poem where a young girl wearing red shoes is taken away from her parents by foreigners. It was written in the early 20th century and probably expresses fear of the outsider and strangers. I know you've done "Akatsuki", but maybe do "Unfinished Akatsuki".
I absolutely loved Babymetal when they were younger, when they were at the top of their game.... In fact I still enjoy watching their older concerts... Unfortunately as they matured their music remained the same.... They are simply no longer the cute little girls backed by awesome musicians. This format no longer works now that they are older. I was looking forward to watching them grow up and their music with them but it didn't. Those are my personal thoughts on the subject.
Great reaction as always! Iine is such a fun song that is all over the place. You should check out the official video, that isn’t as heavy but has a rap part in it that they cut out for their live shows to make room for the crowd chanting. When you mentioned that you would hurt yourself on the rotating stage, and that is not a joke, Yui actually fell of the stage the night before (about 8ft down) and Moa slipped during the run off to IDZ and both continued with the performance visibly in pain. What professional legends even at that young age! They got my utmost respect!
Catch me if you can is my favorite B.M. song. So "Nasty". Howdy from Texas.
YOUR REACTIONS ALWAYS MAKE MY DAY!!! BABYMETAL is Back!!! What a day! 🔥🔥🔥🤘🦊🤘

Iine!, is pronounced [ee-ney] not Line. This is Babymetal experimenting with different genre, possibly the most genre into one song. Japanese rave, hip-hop, death metal in one song and EDM. Babymetal can do it all. "BxMxC" is the upgraded version of "Iine". BxMxC is from their 3rd album Metal Galaxy.

Nippon Budokan (日本武道館, Nippon Budōkan), often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Originally built for the inaugural Olympic judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, its name translates as Martial Arts Hall in English. While its primary purpose is to host martial arts contests, the arena has gained additional fame as one of the world's most iconic musical performance venues.[1] Budokan was a popular venue for Japanese professional wrestling for a time, and it has hosted numerous other sporting events such as the 1967 Women's Volleyball World Championship. Most recently, the arena hosted the Olympic debut of karate in the 2020 Summer Olympics as well as the judo competition at both the 2020 Summer Olympics and the 2020 Summer Paralympics.

"Oni-San" in the japanese lyrics is "Sr. Devil". In the Japanese folk song for the children, the girls in the hide-and-seek deceive the devil. Lol

First of all, congratulations for calling it IINE and not LINE, as most reactors do xD
If you want to hear how they pronounce it, just listed to the last 10-15 seconds of the song, they say it multiple times :D
These are just 2 really fun song, and I absolutely love IINE!!
It's so funny 🤣🤣
catch me if you can is the heaviest song about playing hide and seek.
next: kagerou.
suzuka's vocal teqhnique is godly

I love that Budokan Black Night concert.
And only a few years after Suzuka was lost at Budokan when taking the lead for the other SG girls to get to the seats to watch Perfume 🙂
@@autohmae ASH graduates are special in many ways. : )
@@rickwagner- Maybe I'm weird but sometimes I feel the need to rewatch the giggling Suzuka and Mariri video: 20130313 Sakura Gakuin Nakamoto Suzuka & Sugimoto Mariri Introduction ENG SUB. Maybe to remember they are not just amazing professionals.
iine = e(long e) ney. e-ney
Great reaction!
Iine:
I really like that song, MV (the breakdown hits much harder!) or live (long crowd interaction) and can only recommend you watch the compilation video of Iine from KuroKiitsunesama, the rap part begins at 1:30 and got some really great views of different stages with the epic shot starting at 2:05.
Catch me if you can:
Great song, starting with the kami solos (!!!) going right into the song with many parts for Yui & Moa, the heavy instrumentals and growling, the cute choreo with the use of the lift from the budokan stage and Su´s vocals on the catchy refrain.
Nobody listens to TECHNO. BABYMETAL- Hold my chocolate
KOBA-METAL, SU-MOA-YUI, how many different types of music can you sing in one song?
I'd love to see them do a set with Tatiana from Jinjer.
"ii" means good or great. "iine" means "ain't it great?"
