Personally Im a Career mode legend also ranked in top 10 for fifa 13 and 14 proclubs. Your videos help a lot. Even though i win 90% of my games and I always play in Ultimate difficulty. What difficulty are you playing on? Noticed while playing the demo that each difficulty has It's own sliders. On legendary difficulty they seem to be at default. While on easiest difficulty every shot is pretty much perfect in terms of accuracy (unless you let the power bar fill completely).
I'm actually quite surprised with myself. A few days ago I tried Fifa17 on xbox one and my long shots were crazy... Guess what.. I was doing exactly what you showed in the video. The curve thing. I felt like I score more goals like that, but I wasn't actually sure about it, I was doing it just because, it's interesting to see that it is an actual thing I have by mistake and unknowingly discovered myself.

pc version I believe that all shoots in fifa 17 has problem this year and it has a "slow motion" filling. All shoots has not strong and the ball has "ballon" filling. This game need update because the only method to score is with garbage-gay shoots from 3 meter distance in secont time from random rebounds and overpower corners
