uhm bro so go to were u change ur controller keys , when u there just click on save and then it will ask u to choose ur device , click on the choose device then choose ps4 and then u will have a ps4 controller buttons/settings
Actually there is a better way my friend. Go to steam setting, account, change, beta participation and change to steam beta update and press ok. Then after go back on settings controller, general controller settings and plug your controller and it will detect that its a ps5 controller. No problem guys!
Okay, so I'm just gonna explain this real quick so everyone knows. The tertiary button mean the third button in the sequence of buttons. So that top button is tertiary out of the 4 buttons. Thus, you have a primary button x, a secondary action button square, a tertiary button triangle and a (Go Back) button circle (don't confuse this button with the regular back button listed, I believe its similar to an options button). SN: If you have Steam Link on an Android phone, you can use the PS5 controller connected to your phone via Bluetooth as a controller for steam and it works perfectly. I tested it this morning on a racing game, survival game, and a strictly KB+M game (used R2 as left click and R joystick as mouse)

I think secondary and tertiary actions are triangle and square. Basically the "other" buttons. Primary would be X and back would be circle, so the other 2 are any other action buttons that only really have a purpose in game

Since Steam recognizes it as an Xbox controller I'm guessing gyro doesn't work. Only way I'd purchase this controller for PC gaming is if the gyro worked.

I'm playing an Xbox game (Forza) on Steam with a PS5 controller no problem. But is there a way to get the PS buttons to pop up on the screen? Square, circle, triangle, X.... Vs X, Y, A, B? I have never played Xbox and I have no idea what buttons are what. I keep backing out when I want to proceed for example.
I had it then if some reason i exited out of it thinking it i will work for me then i don't and know it is not working i every tryed to do it again but it is not working help plz 😥😭

If you want to define layout with a PlayStation controller with steam. Use ds4 windows. I had the best luck with that touchpad & gyro worked for me. I did ps4 and 5.

They released an update, you don't need to setup the PS5 controller manually anymore, it's done automatically. Just start a game and it works.
