To come back this show after so long made me think of a possible theory as to why Irie and his litte brother aren't very nice. Their mother admitted after Kotoko's arrival that she's always wanted a daughter, so perhaps both her boys grew up feeling irritated and somewhat disrespected deep down she never truly appreciated them.😢 I've come across all kinds of reddit stories where people in general confessed how broken they've felt when their parents admitted that they weren't the child they dreamt of having.🥲
