i can't understand why people keep on pushing Tharoor to run for PM post, i mean he is all class and excellent at debates, he got his fundamentals straight, he knows what he talks, but it takes much more to be a PM. He is having his tenure as MP, lets first see his work, lets see how successful he is as a politician. Till now he haven't got the chance to form policies. Good writer doesn't imply a good politician.

I applaud Barkha Dutt for accepting & acknowledging the blind way the Indian Liberalism has followed Western lead & this also shows that she has started acknowledging & accepting the flaws if her own convictions. Regarding caste question - There are various aspects to it from conversion debate to religious geo-politics {Via NGO's, donations, conversion drives & so on} but all i hear was Shashi Tharoor conveniently leaving all such issues aside & just delinking Hindu religion from caste. The part which i think Shashiji did good while referring to the caste question was the part where he openly talked about it & mentioned clearly that 'democracy entrenched caste' along with Mandal commission implementation along caste identities. I remember him talking about caste question during his talks about the book "An era of darkness" but he remained shy of talking about it in this manner back then. Well sir where were all these sources till now ? Why all sociologists & anthropologists only kept talking about only 'casteist parts' of Hindu scriptures for such a long time even though various conflicting studies kept emerging from ground reports ? If anybody has done an extensive study on Caste literature one would find that the literature of linking caste to Indic religions especially Hinduism starts from old missionary reports which culminates into colonial manipulations during Raj era & there is not a clear study of Islamic empire's impact on casteism {Since a lot of stuff remains untranslated & locked in unstable regions of the world}.
And she left hindusim and opted islam. She wont open her mouth against Islam . She contiues to bash hinduism even now and hindus still tolerate her and listen from her that hindus are intolerent !!!!
