One year later and I find this. I have allergies pretty bad. I get dizzy (I mean feeling unbalanced) when my ears clog up, they don't pop when I swallow or yawn at times. I will get this device and pray for the best. My doctor said I have fluid behind my eardrum. Thanks so much!
Every time I travel my ears are a hot mess. I’ve had to have my ear drum cut, rounds of steroids, and weeks of clogged ears. My last trip to higher elevation with a cold had my ears very uncomfortable. I saw your video and my ears felt better immediately and were totally clear by the second day. I’m so happy to have found a simple solution for my troublesome ears that will never clear on their own. Thank you, the ear popper was a miracle worker for me!
One more tip in case the video doesn’t work! In my experience it helps to drink something very cold (something with ice) to reduce some swelling in your throat and the passage way between your throat and ears. The cold will help it be less swollen and it might open up. Second tip is to tilt your head upward (like you’re looking at the ceiling) and open your jaw like you’re jawning, then push your jaw forward. That should also help relieve some pressure. This works 9 times outta 10 for me:) Lemme know if this helped some of y’all!
I bought the Ear Pressure Reliever (Eustachian Tube Unblocker)as recommended by you & it worked! I had plugged up ears for 8 days from a flight landing. I had tried everything recommended bar a gadget. The gadget was a game changer. So amazing to hear again! I've had to do it 3x yesterday & a few times today again. It works each time. Perhaps because my ears were plugged up for 8 days I may have to do it for a few days. Still thank you for this tip! 👏🏼🙏🏼
I've had problems with clogged ears as well as eczema in the ears (maybe in the middle ears) as well for 8 years plus. The Tinnitus that comes with it has wrecked my life with anxiety and depression.
It’s not worth getting depressed over, read the Bible and be encouraged, I pray for your healing when you become mature enough not to be depressed Worship through it and then the walls come down around Jericho ! Be encouraged
After seeing that goofy gimmick of a device, which I don’t doubt it works well, but I bought a cheapo basketball pump disinfected and sanitized it and after using it the first time, holy crap was that an expirence. I haven’t been able to repeat that experience yet.
Tried it and had a huge benefit! It also broke loose all the mucus I can't get rid of in the morning from behind my soft palate! Breathing opened up with one, completely cleared in 3! I usually gag and retch getting it loose!
My ENT told me I have fluid behind my right ear he said it would get better on its own. He gave me an Appointment to come back in three weeks to check my ears again. Would this product work for me?
AC running in the house really faint and deep noise, couldn't hear it at all. Plug nose and blow hard, swallowed afterwards and now I can hear it clearly, thanks dude, used to be able to just swallow and fix it but this works more reliably. Also doesn't require me to pull on my ears like other fixes lol.
This is great for mild cases. But if your ear has been clogged up for a few days, it’s not enough. I bought one yesterday and it did not work. I’ll keep trying but I’m not too hopeful
I can always do it with this maneuver. I wonder if those small bulb things that are used to clear babies noses wouldn't work for this. Years ago when I learned to pop my ears, I haven't had an ear infection since!
I just had a really really bad cold and as I was sick my ear got clogged, but thankfully this video helped. But while I was doing it my ears randomly popped and it burned and hurt honestly lol. But thanks alot thankfully the pain is gone.
When I was a young kid (late 60's, early 70's) my GP would pop my ears with what must of been a early iteration of the ear popper. It was a squeeze bulb with a section of hose and a fitting on the end he would place in one of my nostrils while pinching the other shut. He had me take a drink of water while watching my adams apple to tell when to squeeze the bulb. Let me tell you what, there wasn't anything gentle about this. I still remember the squelching sound of air being forced through my estuation tubes and thinking my ear drums were going to get blown out... lol. It did work to unplug my ears though. As unpleasant as that was, it wasn't as bad as having 4 adults hold me down to get tubes put in my ears in the ENT's office. The shots in my ear canals hurt like hell, but the tubes immediately helped. On the ride home I could actually hear the sound of the snow tires on the pavement.
@TheKillingPerfection I have mild sensorineural loss in my right ear, but have moderate/severe conducive loss in my left from otosclerosis. I've had high pitched tinnitus since childhood.
Oh man thank you! Watched this other weird video where he makes you grab your ear and strectch them and then take deep breathes and move your eyes around.. didn’t work. This helped so much
Many thanks. I will keep trying since I already can hear better!! I could not hear the radio in my bedroom for weeks, due to Covid 19 or bronchitis infection, and now, when I first started the Vansalva maneuver suddenly I realize that I can hear the radio just from my dining table!! Thank you thank you!😊
It arrived today, I'm a little worried. My eardrum is very thin, I fear it will damage it. I tried it and it gives a very light atmosphere. Much less pressure than Valsalva. I will update the information as I use it.

Hey doctor cliff, I’m in the same boat as some of the people commenting here. While flying ascending is no issue, my ears usually pop if chewing gum, swallowing; but descending is the worse. Thank you for this video (watched it along with a few others on eustation tube dysfunction to understand it). For a few years I've had sinus issues (came after a cold) culminating with daily very itchy ear(s) and deafness in one ear (symptom) eustation dysfunction. Nothing cleared it antibiotics, steroids, antihistamines, decongestants, steam, neti pot etc Complete misery for such a long time. GP's useless suggested surgery (grommets?)would be next step! I don't have an Ear Popper (they are not cheap here in UK!), but I did have a Otovent in the cupboard that I had largely given up on having not bothered to try to properly understand how to use it. It uses the same principle as you describe in this video except uses a balloon for air pressure/flow. The missing part for me was understanding eustation dysfunction and the middle ear air pressure and this video was extremely helpful in this regard. I am now taking anti histamines daily to quell the irritation in the eustation mucosal lining + using my Otovent every 2-3 hours during the day to keep the positive middle ear air pressure going in order to clear the fluid/glue ear and I'm getting results. My ears are much less itchy and my hearing is coming back (I haven't heard treble in stereo like this in over a year, thought I'd lost it permenantly). I think the key point for me was when you said this treatment clears most cases you have come across even stubborn ones. For me this was interesting. I also hadn't understood the difference between positive and negative pressure in the middle ear, which is important to differentiate/understand in order to use the Otovent correctly. I now (after 10 days using this procedure) have my hearing back (finally enjoying listening to music again too), and will keep this procedure up. So a major thank you for sharing this video! Finally some progress!

Hes more than likely selling and making $ off of both of them so naturally hes gonna say both work but he wont say one costs way more than the other...he leaves that to the consumer hoping you buy the more expensive one of course. Otherwise the info as to price would be included.
This does not work for me. My left ear is still messed up from plane travel a few weeks ago. 😕 I need to get that little machine in the video... but I think I'm gonna have to go to the doctor.. although I think it will be useless because years ago I was told my E tubes don't equalize properly & the doctor didn't know why & didn't even suggest how to fix it.

Mine was really plugged after a flight. Holding my nose and blowing did not help by itself. I needed to plunge (press my finger into my ear canal a few times) in combination with holding my nose and blowing. finally a lil relief
I recently purchased the ear popper because I had ruptured my ear drums 3 times in the past while flying. It worked while driving through the mountains, but I am still hesitant to get on a plane and try it. Could you use the ear popper device in combination with pressure relieving ear plugs such as earplanes or would that combination of tools fight against each other? Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this.
Just ordered EarPopper and will see if it works. My ears keeping getting pressurized with significant loss of hearing. I try hard, but they won't clear. Oddly, sometimes they will pop on their own at some point. I may have hereditary Eustachian tube dysfunction. For years, my mother tried to clear her ears by holding her nose and blowing - and I never understood what she was doing. In the past few years, this happened to me, too. Now I understand what she was doing. I hope EarPopper works!
After two weeks of a plugged ear from flying, I got the Ear Poppers yesterday. I’m confused on how often I can/should use it. Twice yesterday and once today and although I hear popping during use, my ear is still plugged.
@@shadatucker104 Well, I sympathize with you! I’ve been using it usually twice daily and when I do one side I hear a lot of popping and it seems to help a little bit then I do the other side and it seems to clog up again! I don’t know! It fluctuates so I finally broke down and made an appt with an ENT. I go Friday. But, I’m going to keep the Ear Popper on hand anyway.
@@7.2percentalcohol45 I used a natural method along with the Popper and my ear is no longer clogged. You can Google different natural methods. The ENT said I had fluid in my middle ear and prescribed an antibiotic and steroid which I did not take. I did drops of half alcohol and half vinegar.
Thanks, I'll give this a shot. I have an Otovent and can usually get my right ear to pop fine with the blow the balloon up, and then release the air through my nostril while swallowing a glass of water, but the left doesn't have much luck. Thinking if I can avoid the balloon thing with this battery operated device, it would be more successful.
@@secondwolfjiro7204 Yes, overall I like this battery operated ear popper better as I don't have to fiddle with the balloon of the Otovent. I mentioned in another reply to my post that I can in fact get my left ear to pop as long as I also do the water sip trick while I use the popper. Overall though this is my go to for ear popping and I just don't bother with the Otovent anymore. I probably should be more diligent in using it, but that's on me.
@Andre Viens appreciate the feed back. I have a trip on 2weeks to Egypt and nervous as hell about possible ear pain. I went to ent and he said air coming out my right ear and left side not is normal. But I feel like it's not 😂😂 seems like ima have to find out the hard way when I fly

@Umang Srivastava I figured out it’s called Patulous Eustachian Tube Disorder. Tubes are constantly open. Causing a clogged sensation and hearing loss. No real cure either so I have to live with it.
@Umang Srivastava no weight loss. My ears constantly click and pop when I swallow and talk. Full ears. I went to the ear Dr and he says everything is fine, the tubes just don’t fully close. So it’s mostly annoying
@Umang Srivastava all seasons but spring hits me the hardest. Also I commented this before I had my appointment with my Dr. I realize now it’s only the illusion of plugged ears.

I have TINY ear canals. I often get a lot of wax build up that is difficult or impossible to clean out. And every time I travel, change altitude, or get a cold, my ears plug up so bad I can barely hear, and sometimes I get ear aches. I usually end up having to wait it out, and let them naturally unplug after a week or two, because they WON'T pop no matter what I do. I've tried every trick in the world. I have been that way all my life. My left ear does it worse than my right ear though.
This is similar to the Eustachi machine. I've read quite a few posts that say using these made their ears worse! so many posts saying do this, do that, and your ears will open up instantly. None work for me.
You guys, get an essential oil diffuser and a bottle of Thieves essential oil. Put water and a few drops of the Thieves essential oil in the diffuser, turn it on and breath it in. You can even turn it on when you go to bed, so you can breath it in all night. This oil is a miracle and will help open up your clogged head. Great for chest congestion too. Dr. Cliff my ENT told me pinching your nose and gently force air through your ears is the same as using the Ear Popper.
What else can you use? Blow dryer? The air thing that you use to scare cats? lol anything that I might already own?
@@victoriabrown9798 I bought the ear popper that’s recommended here. It works really good, I have to use it often because of my sinus issues but it unclogs my ears every time.
Do you recommend this or the eustaci device in your other video? Which one works better?
I don`t believe he knows which one works best. He just tells you you should buy them!
He doesn't care which works better! Hes more than likely selling and making $ off of both of them so naturally hes gonna say both work but he wont say one costs way more than the other...he leaves that to the consumer hoping you buy the more expensive one of course. Otherwise the info as to price would be included.
Does this product work from estachian tube swollen that causing my eardrum to buldge outwards.
Thank you Dr. Cliff I never hard of this device. But that’s why I watch your channel, I leaning so many hearing aid devices💕👏🏼
Thank you for the video!
Is it safe to use during the flight once altitude is reached?
Usually not necessary
Before watching, know you have to buy a product…
oh wow thank you it was so helpful😊
Was going nuts from my ears feeling clogged with a bad cold, the first technique you showed worked wonders for me, thank you!
Thank you, worked a treat!
great, i have to buy something, fantastic.
the vals move just helped me out was so plugged from getting off the airplane!!!! ty ty ty ty ty ty ty
What if you have earwax buildup in your ear, or you have an ear infection? Can the air popper be used for your wax build up or if you have an ear infection?
Thank you, I’m going to try this, my ent told me I need surgery for a deviated septum, an extra sinus, and a polyp. I get chronic sinus infections, if this can help until I get surgery that would be great. Hope it helps me!
Worked for me! Thank you Dr!
Sir i popped my ear but still the hearing sensitivity is low.
Is it the ear wax blocking my ear ??
My left ear will not pop. It’s miserable Doctor. I have done the everything you suggested. I guess I will try and find the air popper. Thanks Doc!
Did you try EarPopper?
Thank you for this!
Does the Otrovent do the same job as the ear popper? . . i have clugged ears now 18 month , after a noise trauma. . . cant pop my ears... Also i have chronic sinus infection.
jeez bro just go to a walk in medical clinic and have them flush out your ear.. should be cheap
Hi. Which is more effective - the Ear Popper or the Eustachi? Thanks.
i was suffered a lot with my clogged ears .now I am really releived now due to a ear drops named ciplox. I used 2 drop twice a day.lf you guys want to try ,go for it .I hope it would help you
I bought one of those ear poppers. REALLY nice ! Thank you ! I fly every couple of months.
How did you it to pop your ears ?
This was soooo helpful (do what he said, without the machine). It worked!
Bro thank you so much i forced the air to go through and it worked! No cap. Thank you so much it made a loud sound lol
Tha k you work great I did not by the think but uses a sinus squeeze bottle and little bits of pressure works
Mine was really plugged after a flight. Holding my nose and blowing did not help by itself. I needed to plunge (press my finger into my ear canal a few times) in combination with holding my nose and blowing. finally a lil relief
Thanks this video is very helpful but were do I get the Earpropper ?
I recently purchased the ear popper because I had ruptured my ear drums 3 times in the past while flying. It worked while driving through the mountains, but I am still hesitant to get on a plane and try it. Could you use the ear popper device in combination with pressure relieving ear plugs such as earplanes or would that combination of tools fight against each other? Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this.
The earplanes won't do anything, but the earpopper should handle flying fine.
Same nothing works for me I guess I have to buy this now lol never knew this was a condition. Right on
After two weeks of a plugged ear from flying, I got the Ear Poppers yesterday. I’m confused on how often I can/should use it. Twice yesterday and once today and although I hear popping during use, my ear is still plugged.
Girl! I flew last week and my ears are still clogged up. Let me know if it works for you!
Did you figure out what to do.. bcuz my right ear be clogged for 2 weeks and sometimes it throws my balance off..
@@JanGo605 thank you so much... I just got the ear popper today.. and that what the doctor told me "vertigo" fluid in the back of my ear drum..
Thank you so much it's very helpful
Is it good for tinnitus?
Thanks, I'll give this a shot. I have an Otovent and can usually get my right ear to pop fine with the blow the balloon up, and then release the air through my nostril while swallowing a glass of water, but the left doesn't have much luck. Thinking if I can avoid the balloon thing with this battery operated device, it would be more successful.
If you try it, please post a comparison to Otovent eg., which you feel had more pressure or a subjective gauge of relative safety /efficacy
I have you're same issue. My right ear can pop easily and air flow comes out. My left ear literally does not budge lol. Have u solved the solution?
@@secondwolfjiro7204 I'd say try this ear popper if you haven't and if you buy it in time it can arrive before your trip. Might be good to pack this along.
3:45 when he tells us his “secret weapon” just for it to be an expensive plug/ad 😂
Thank you you saved my life ive watched so many videos but didnt work and i watched your video ot works!!!
Is this popper safe to use after the flu which caused the completely plugged ears?
Thank u so much doctor cliff it works
Is there anything for positive ear pressure?
I’ve had a endolymphatic shunt put in.. two weeks ago.. is it too soon to try..? Would it push the shunt out position..?
My ear feels cleared but is it supposed to hurt and then slowly squel in my ears
What about otitis media ....and Sir I have a question .. Do Negative Pressure cause Ringing sound
It can
Dr Cliff, should I use earpopper while still up in the air or should I wait until landed?
I’ve had clogged ears for over 5 years now. Good to know
@Umang Srivastava I figured out it’s called Patulous Eustachian Tube Disorder.
@Umang Srivastava I was 19 when it started. I’m 24 now
@Umang Srivastava nothing serious that I can think of. Although I do get seasonal allergies, I have my whole life
@Umang Srivastava all seasons but spring hits me the hardest. Also I commented this before I had my appointment with my Dr. I realize now it’s only the illusion of plugged ears.
really great content
Is ear infection popping painful?
Can you cause damage forcing air through using the valsalva maneuver ?
I've been being gentle but have a continuing problem so I want to use a lot of force to try and fix it but I'm concerned about damaging my ear.
Please reply as soon as possible.
I think it will damage your ear
I was told my eardrum was burst from blowing too hard
@@laurau1778 what did they do about it ?
Is your hearing ok now ?
@@Dr.Spoofs I forgot to mention mine is unilateral, meaning one side, so I’m fortunate with one sided hearing.
I ordered this ear popper gadget, only upon the recommendation of Dr. Cliff, I’ll report back if it helped the pressure.
What if you have a ruptured eardrum, would this still help or would this harm?
Very good but how can I obtain this ear popper?
Typically on Amazon.
Is the EarPopper similar to the Eustachi?
Yes, very similar.
QUESTION FOR YOUR EXPERTISE, AFTER THE OCT 4TH 2023 FEMA ALERT MY EARS FELT LIKE THEY WERE ABOUT TO POP. THEN I WENT OUTSIDE AND MY EARS POPPED A FEW TIMES BUT STAYED AT "JUST ABOUT TO POP" PRESSURE. WHAT IS GOING ON?
When I try holding my nose, it hurts. Then one time it triggered an ear infection. :( I now have a fear of holding my nose and using that method....and planes..
This helped with my ear infection. 😊
May have to do it 2 or 3 nights in a row. It really helps.
What’s the difference between ear popper and the ustachi tube exerciser? I have that
No difference
@@DrCliffAuD great! How hard can I blow with holding my nose? One poped other didn’t but it started too but I started to feel the pressure confirm thru my eyes. Can I keep blowing until right one pops?
I've had tubes in both ears from bad cases of ear infections but I still have problems with my left ear. Would this be a safe item to use to pop my ear.
I use my eustashi all the time but it hasn’t been working this past week it wasn’t helping and this morning and had to try the VM and that seem to work better! Strange turn of events. I find using some orgenoil oil Sorry spelling) I rub it around my ears and it helped to open them and then I did the VM and it helped.
Can it cause dizziness?
Got covid in September and had Tinnitus and ear plugged feeling for 3 days. It went away but came back almost 3 months later. Right ear wouldn't pop but left would, both ears would ring. Ent put me on a nasal spray which did open up the Right ear about 3 weeks later of continued use. Of course Right as this happened I got covid again. Now I have ear pain and my ears both feel plugged at times. It even hurts to eat or drink certain things that make my ears ache which is weird. Sleeping on a ear will also cause trouble, very sensitive to certain sounds and ears feel full or click and pop mostly with different temperatures or pressures. Saw another ent at UVA and had a mri of the brain and iac. Nothing revealed. When I pop my ears now they do pop but don't seem to hold air which if that makes any sense. Kinda at a loss right now and annoyed from the almost constant pain... 😒
Same here :/
Same with me
same here
Did you ever figure it out... bcuz it going on 2 weeks now and my right it is still clogged..
same here
I was placed on allergy pills year round seven years ago just for ear pain but I can no longer tolerate the pills. I'm hoping this will help. I also saw nose balloons and I'm wondering about that product too.
could etd cause by neck muscle tightness?
Does this help Tinnitis?
