Thank you Saar for a lovely and informative video. We are going to be staying at the Hotel Torre di Bellosguardo in September and are looking forward to exploring the Oltrarno and finding some good restaurants in this area.

Thank you SO much. Am in Florence now. I took your advice and went into the city center pretty early this morning. It felt wonderful. Love to check out your tips. Big thanks for the effort. I believe it is so important to respect the locals of Florence 🙏🌻

I was last in Florence in September 2018. Less crowded and I fell into walking along the Arno at 7.30 each morning. It was perfect!

What a great video and a welcome change from all those city centre ones which, due to the crowds, are a bit off putting. An eye operation permitting, I hope to be there late winter or early spring and will certainly check out your suggestions,

Ciao Saar! My name is Paul. I am an American who has lived in Firenze since October 2021. Thank you for showing some of the greener areas of Florence, as we know that there are not many. I have not been to Porto Ramano Park yet, I have some mobility issues that make it challenging to get everywhere that I would like to go. But it sure looks lovely! My apartment is on Borgo Santa Croce, a stone's throw from the Basilicata. I agree with your take on AirBnb. It is a shame what these platforms are doing to the local Italians. I've heard that in Venice there are hardly any locals that can afford to live in the city center anymore. Truly sad. Thank you for this video, I really enjoyed it! Paul in Firenze

Perhaps the most helpful Florence Vlog on here. The polar opposite of all those Loud, Brash, in your face young Bloggers all doing same old, same old.. everything about yours is how I intend to experience Florence.

Thank you xx. It will be my 3rd visit to Florence, but first as a Solo traveller, so I know exactly what I want to, and what I don't. I'm a natural early riser, so I've already envisaged being in Piazza Del Duomo at 6.30am with the place to myself (I hope), and the Uffizi at opening time too, some of your recomended churches are already on my radar, but some aren't, so there some to check out, and so pleased you give details about the cycle hire

I wonder how you travel the world with your beloved pet. How do you handle air travel? I love to be able to travel with my dog instead of leaving her behind for months or even a year.

Hi At Amo , thank you for your sweet comment ♥️. Having a pet can be difficult if you travel a lot , we have always taken him with us and travel mostly by train within Europe. In Italy dogs are very welcome everywhere, so it has been an easy experience in that respect. He has been in a plane once but I prefer not to do this. We have never taken him overseas though and only would do this is we stay for a long time : over 3 months or so , I just hate putting him through air travel. There are airlines that allow dogs in the cabin : but only small dogs , so our dog has to go in the luggage and it just breaks my heart . So hard those decisions, because especially dogs only want to be together with their bossy all the time !

It looks beautiful 😊 I always stay in hotels they're more user friendly. Is it expensive to eat out and for coffee? Thank you

Thank you Janet, yes the Hotels are amazing in Florence and people so kind. Going out in Florence can be cheap or expensive, depending on where you go. If you avoid the tourist restaurants and bars in the city center (go to the other side of the river into the Oltrarno, San Frediano or San Niccolo), you can find great little restaurants and bars that have amazing quality and are also not expensive at all. I would say on average you spend around €2,50 for a Cappuccino and €10 for a pizza. Hope this helps!
