You are quite possibly the most helpful guide i have ever watched. Im in italy florence right now and im loving the helpful and out of the box ideas. Thank you so so so much
Thank you so much ❤️❤️ It's my favorite, too! If you haven't seen it, I have just released a new food-related vlog from Florence, with a few more cool places! th-cam.com/video/AewjWGA88xE/w-d-xo.html
Really helpful video! I’m really excited to try the food that you recommended when we go! 😍 Didn’t realize that you could get food and coffee for that cheap in Florence!
Hi Valeria - we just got back from Firenze, a city we have been visiting (apart from during COVID) at least once a year for the last 23 years. However your video has taught me a few things! I wish I had seen it before we left as we would definitely have benefited from your advice. Really enjoyed your video and will check out others.
Valeria, your videos are wonderful. This intimate (and affordable) day in Firenze was thoroughly enjoyed. I am much older than you... studied at the Academy of Fine Arts (behind David) when I was 18 years old. Now, decades later, I am preparing to sell my house and move to a small town in Tuscany or Umbria... looking forward to (tearfully) reliving the rich experiences in this wonderful country. I would love to know of any suggestions you might have in choosing a comfortable (ancient) small town situated about an hour by train from Firenze. I am so looking forward to returning to my favorite county... reliving this marvelous culture and immersing in the artistic expressions of such people as Giotto, Michelangelo, Perugino... and Dante.
BIG thanks for this amazing video. No need to tell that life in general is getting expensive. Am Belgian, single lady and now I need to watch my money more carefully. Am not ashamed to say so. Nevertheless I do keep in mind to support Italian businesses. I do go out and enjoy eating at trattoria’s. Apart from that, yes I like to visit the things that are for free. So again BIG thanks for this video. People who are not single do not realise how life has changed over these past months. Am in Florence now and will definately enjoy your tips 🙏💖🌻
This video is just what i was looking for! Really good local travel tipps when you don't want to spent all your money on one Aperol Spritz (like at that one rooftop bar every other youtuber tells you about) Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful! You might want to check out this video too, I've just uploaded it last month and it has the latest budget-friendly food places recs! th-cam.com/video/QSaixY5-R04/w-d-xo.html Enjoy your trip!
I am glad I found this video. My family and I are going to Florence end of September and I cannot wait to explore the area. I've been to Italy before but we stayed in Positano, this time we're visiting other places in Italy. Thank you for the tips on where to go. Your new subscriber here from UK. AMG
12/31/22 I just wanted you to know that we just went on a Mediterranean cruise with just four hours in Florence. We used your video and actually found Il Bufalo Trippone ( it was delicious! And VERY busy!) and Gelataria dei Neri and had the yummy gelato there (even nice to know there was a free toilet there also!😊) we found the river Arlo etc etc. Thanks to you we were able to use our very small amount of time efficiently and we definitely want to return. Thanks so much for your insight and a frugal plan!! Love your channel.
Loved this video Valeria! Thank you for the great tips. I hadn't had that last church on my sites to see next year when I come to Florence, but now I do for sure! My tip for a cheap place and interesting experience is the Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella. Go in and take in the amazing smells. I purchased potpourri the last time I was there, and it still smells like Florence in my lingerie drawer 5 years later.
Ciao from Calabria, Italy. This was a great video, as we both are planning a trip to Florence. It is nice to know that we can do things to save some money. Thanks for the tips. Baci Baci from Scalea.
Great to see a video that’s from a European.. and not throwing money around ,only staying in top hotels and only eating at expensive restaurants. because there is so much more to Florence than that.. The best places to eat and stay in Florence are not necessarily top hotels and Restaurants…!! And also someone that doesn’t feel the need to put Italy in the title, where else is Florence,or Venice or Rome …?🤷♀️ Edit to say ,you are so right about the Finocchiona Salumi.. we had it the first time came to Florence and it’s one of the first things we gravitate to when we go back… (like you a lot of visits) . and we brought a huge amount home ,, I now order it from an Italian online store for delivery…but certainly best eaten in Florence…🤤😊🇬🇧
Great video! Would be very helpful if you wrote down name of the places on the video too. Had a little hard time understanding what were you saying without caption since it's in Italian names. Thank you xx
A honeymoon in Florence sounds dreamy! And I have just posted a comprehensive itinerary for two days in Florence to see as much as possible without getting exhausted 😉 I will also be posting a list of hotels for all budgets next week, so check it out: www.patreon.com/dramaticallyexpatic
Hi thank you so much for your help arriving March 29 staying three days in Rome and we are going by train to Florence we booked our iraly trip through a travel agency from United States. They book us everything the hotel the train ticket so they send us the train ticket, but it’s like voucher it doesn’t have a barcode or a scan, just the name of the train the couch number the seat number so how I’m gonna validate the ticket like how to enter the train station without barcode or scan thing. Shall I stay and talk to a ticket box person about it, or I don’t know what to do.
Hi, there won't be a problem to get to the train station, and you don't need to validate it if you have the precise time/couch and seat numbers, but I'd stop by the ticket box if you have enough time just to make sure everything is alright! Enjoy your trip ❤️
I'd recommend hotels/hostels in the area between Ponte alla Carraia and Ponte alla Vittoria (both sides of the river are great); Santa Croce area is also wonderful but might be a bit more expensive. If you're looking for something inexpensive but nice, try googling "casa per ferie firenze" and you'll see a number of religious housing (basically little hotels inside the monasteries) - these are budget-friendly and might be a really interesting experience!
The temperature is quite mild in February in Florence! It’s usually sunny and not very cold, although a coat is still recommended, maybe just not a particularly warm one. Enjoy your trip!
Love the tour you organized 🥰🥰 But also, Is it just me or why do I feel claustrophobic when noticing there are no trees in the city? Lots and lots of buildings 😢

If you had 1 week, to visit Italy and you wanted to visit one city and then one town where would you go..
I’d say Florence and/or Venice, then Siena/Arezzo or Treviso accordingly 😊
Yes! I understand!!
Thanks for the helpful video. Could you please write down for me the name of the church that you show at 20:11?
Sure! It's called Chiesa di San Salvatore in Ognissanti

Thank you ❤️ I have a very strong personal connection to the city, but just the atmosphere of Florence would be enough to make me fall in love it!
