2022 Winnebago Ekko Upgrades

- Based the Ford Transit platform, the Winnebago Ekko comes from the factory pretty well spec'd. But, there's plenty of room for improvement. Lucky, Reparadise is here to step in when the dealers fall short.
To separate this Winnebago Ekko from the KOA crowd, we bumped the tire size up and went for a set of Falcon AT/3 all terrain tires. For clearance, Clarence, we installed the Van Compass Topo 2.0 Ford Transit lift kit. Furthermore, underneath the chassis we added Van Compass skid plates and diff covers. This gives the Winnebago capabilities beyond gravel roads.
For storage, the rear of the Ekko received a Westcott Designs rear bumper with cargo boxes. The Factory Storage zones received plenty of upgrades in the form of custom bike mounts, additional shelving, slide-out Dometic Cooler, and gas shocks added to all the doors.
Moving to the inside, we deleted the gar range and added an induction cooktop. Like the exterior storage doors, we added gas shocks through the the interior cabinetry, and additional shelving. The end result is a Winnebago Ekko that's much easier to live with day-to-day.

Pretty sad that the EKKO needs modifications inside to keep it falling apart, but as you said, they are put together quickly. How long does it normally take to do the full modifications shown in the video? Thanks for putting this together!

Getting ready to retire.. I would do everything you've shown to an Ekko BUT, I'm not a bike rider so a garage setup would be nice. The only thing I don't care for in the Ekko is the seating arrangement behind the driver. Terrible. A regular booth type setup would be more acceptable. For me, at least. I *really* like the Van Compass lift and suspension/tire/wheel upgrades.

Music was a little too loud but good to see what your shop can do with established RVs. I know you can order the Ekko with a roof top clam shell camper bed sleeper but I would prefer if there was a way to put four beds inside along with the four interior seats. Maybe a ceiling bed that can come down on actuators or just straps? is there room in the front of the cab to do this? Nice video overall!
Thanks for the feedback! Don't think there's room to add a bed over the cab. There is the inflatable bed option, but that's room for one.

Awesome upgrades! I’m looking at getting one of these and really want to put the falken Wildpeaks on. Did they fit alright on the DRW or did you need spacers? Also do you mind sharing the springs and spacers you used?
We used 215/85R-16 wildpeaks. Fit with no issues. Followed the info on Van Compasses website, The Suspension is their TOPO 2.0 kit, with sumo heavy duty springs to help in the rear

We never hit the scales before or after, unfortunately. It's probably around 500-700lbs of accessories. Glad you liked the mods, good luck on your RV adventures!

This upgrade is awesome! What would the budget be to do such an upgrade? And would it be possible to switch the microwave to a convention microwave?
All in all you're looking around 20k in upgrades to this camper

Thanks Wyatt, we don't have a full list. But, most of the suspension and off road stuff was through Van Compass
