97-05 BUICK CENTURY REGAL MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH REMOVAL REPLACE - DOOR PANEL

Just documenting how i removed the door panel and took out the power window switch. @ 5:25 i found out you dont need to pop the entire door panel.
The window lock switch was broken, and i attempted to fix it. The solution works, but i end up buying a new switch on eBay for $22 and installed it all over again.

That's how you learn my friend. I'm 47 and I've learned a lot in 34 years. Keep in mind just about all G.M. and Cadillac vehicles made during the 90 and late 90s use this style of pop in and out switch. Just be very careful when pushing the tab in then push the whole switch forward then pull up gently. Good luck in the future

I'm so glad you did the whole door panel removal. Whether there was the easy or the hard way, this will help with my speaker replacement so much. I got stuck at the plastic surrounding the handle/tweeter. Thanks for putting up the video!

I got like 2 minutes into the video and was about to comment that you didn't need to take the door panel off ;). But it was a good thing you eventually found out as it saves a ton of time incase you need to remove it again.

I used a butter knife and lifted it out, then unhooked the connectors. No door panel removal or anything.

I replaced the switch without removing the door panel. 10 minutes and done.just pop out the window switch.

This is a 5-minute job to pop-out the old switch unit and pop-in in the replacement unit. Just remove the window control assembly from the arm rest with a screwdriver as a lever. I really hope no actually does the useless disassembly described in 99% of this video. On the other hand, if you need to replace the in-door speaker, then go ahead and watch how to remove the entire door panel.

i just did the same job without removing the panel 30 sec see at 5:28 . and i just glue the fucking nob on position unlock that's it, easy ,quick and clean, i dont have children so! 10m job. eventually i will change the whole thing maybe i'll wait until something else brake
