    I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos. I am just starting out and had ordered two Bar Mills kits when I (fortunately) came across your channel. With each video I open a separate browser window to Amazon and when you highlight a product which works well, I place it in the cart. Once your video is complete I hit the "order" icon. You have saved me countless hours of discovery relative to products and future lessons-to-be-learned. Thank you!

    Great build I found this about Master Creations In 1998, B.T.S. acquired the Master Creations' line of laser-cut, craftsman kits

    This is crazy. I never knew these kits existed. You're a great builder. I used to make balsa wood old western towns when I was a kid. These are great, but I think the most fun is building from scratch. Thanks for the vid

    What a beautiful result after all these set backs during the build.

    Good effort. I’m surprised you went back for seconds. Interesting roof details too

    I really enjoyed this build. Great problem solving and go with the flow. I enjoyed the narration style too. You have a great voice.

      Thanks. It took a while to get used to hearing my voice. Each bit of narration usually takes at least two takes. There is a lot of editing in these videos.

    Good job on a difficult build. My wife bought me M.C.'s Minerva Casket Company for Christmas way back in '91. I started it then and gave up on it. Got tired of reading the instructions, like a bad novel. I pulled it out last week and nearly done, but requires a lot of guess work. Lousy instructions! One tip when using the Campbell type shingles, buy some 3M adhesive Transfer tape to apply the shingles instead of water. Fast and no warping. You do fine work and your videos are nicely done.

      Thanks for the comments. Minerva Casket is the only other MC kit that interests me and I would probably pick it up if I could find it at a decent price.

    I had no idea that Master Creation kits were so difficult.

    Amazing build those kits are so difficult to put together I attempted one 10 yrs ago and never completed it was beyond frustrating.. its easier to scratch build than those kits! You deserve an award for completing 2!!!!! Bet the only other one completed is the cover arr model from Master Creations! Lol 😆

      Thanks for the comments. Actually, I recently found pictures online of two other builds of this kit. They were both pretty good - worth checking out.

    I always enjoy watching your builds. This was a great build as always. Where do you get your scale lumber?

    • @asdasx392
      @asdasx392  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comments. I got bulk quantities from handlaidtrack.com (Fast Tracks). I think there is also a company called Northeastern scale lumber.

    Nicely done. Certainly not a kit for beginners!

    Well just looked up the site you mentioned. Are there any other scratch building suppliers you could recommend? I model in N scale. Thanks again for sharing the build.

      Dave's Trains try Mt Albert scale lumber out of Canada.

      Does the scale make a difference? A 2x4 in HO scale would be close enough to a 4x8 in N scale. Anything smaller would be nearly impossible to work with. I have some packages of strip wood from Midwest products and that is the conversion they use to get N scale.

    Wondering what you do with your completed kits. Do you have a massive display room for them or do they just go on an obscure shelf in a closet?

    • @asdasx392
      @asdasx392  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. I have small display room but that just evolved - it wasn't really the intent. Hopefully, many of the buildings will make it on my layout eventually.

    Let me guess. The company had it existed in the real world would have had a top of the line carriage known as the President. 😁 Nice work as always. One thing about dilapidated structures and industry on model RR layouts. With those kind of customers the railroad must really be on its last legs.

    Very nice build of a very difficult kit. How long did it take you to complete the build? -Rick

      Thanks for the comments. I think it took about six weeks, but I was working on other stuff during that time, so hard to say exactly.

    Great results. I like your approach of the directions are crap so I'll just build it like a scratch build and figure it out myself by looking at the pictures. I'd say you might want to study the pictures a little closer though. It might eliminate some of the problems with things not being the correct length. I've heard others talk about how hard these kits are due to the instructions lacking in so many different ways. I'm sure if the man used cad to design these that the measurements there where correct but maybe like you said it was hard for him to write out the instructions and he may have given the wrong dimensions there or told how to align things wrong leading to the gaps and lengths being off. You made it work and look awesome. You did a good job with the video as well. I'm usually not one to watch all the way through a video this long. I'll start fastfowarding to the next step within the first ten minutes or less or just skip to the end but you made it fun to watch and kept my attention. Thanks for sharing. I picked up a couple techniques that you use that I've not thought to use. Stay well. 👍

      Thanks for the comments. Glad you like the video. I also have a short attention span on build videos. I try to keep mine pretty fast paced, but still show useful information for anyone trying to build the kit.

    I think I finally realized that kits made are not perfect and it's not your fault if it doesn't always go as well as you'd like it
