Wow... It was extremely unexpected that the colgera portal would teleport you!!
Yep. Which is exactly why I'm not surprised it didn't. Notice they stayed at the same height. The other portal just opened beneath them.
See, that didn't look like it actually teleported Link as much as it just kept the camera locked in place until the portal disappeared, but that's strange cause I remember trying this and getting flung out of the other portal alongside Colgera. Maybe I just happened to fall right where he came out and get hit as soon as the camera changed. I'll have to go try that again.
@@VannyBeumer The portal "out" always appears beneath Link so Colgera can try to eat him in the way up.
It might not have worked for actual teleporting, but maybe some speedrunning strategy, it seems slightly faster than if you were moving around.
Still interesting that he doesn't just go through the other side like nothing happened.
@@VannyBeumer It looks like he gets sucked right in it. And then ends up on the other side? He definitely went through the portal. You realize it's also possible that they realized people might try that, and so they made it so Link could also go through the portal... that's not much of a stretch.
@@prohsodie except he doesn't move. He stays in the same place. So it's clear he doesn't teleport.
The reason the gloom hands dont react to the korok is because only Link and a few other individuals can see koroks.
1:35 i think what was happening with colgeras portal is that the camera cant go into the portal so link is chilling in the portal, not getting teleported. Also good video like always

Yeah, that's my best guess too. They kept saying they were being teleported, but they were nowhere near the out portal. Colgera always teleports underneath Link, so I don't think they teleported at all.

when wanting to "register" a deer, stalhorse, or bear at a stable you need to board your horse first, then you will get special dialogue for trying to board something that isn't a horse.

@@The8asement Yes! I noticed that there wasn't an option for registering and had the idea that my horse being out was an issue, so I boarded it and then immediately the register option appeared!
The only reason you couldn’t register the deer might have been because you had too many hirses
I think the one with the portal and the boss battle. Sorry I don't know how to spell his name and how to pronounce it I thought it was really cool. Thank you the basement for doing that and all your other videos. I appreciate them.

You know I didn't even get to see these animations on Colgera, because I killed it so darn fast with bomb arrows and bullet time. I didn't even know there WAS a way to kill it without weapons.

I was not expecting one of the Zora to want to fight the bear
My first time encountering gloom hands was the fight at the castle after getting the first 4 sages.
I had a great moment in TotK last knight in the Rabac cave: I was gliding around to get to the bubbelfrog and I got hit midair by a cart with a bokoblin, and when I ragdolled into the cart I managed to start pushing it backwards at great speed.
I think it had something to do with the animation the Bokoblin was playing since he was in the horn blowing animation when I landed in the cart.
whoaaa, interesting. I wonder how tricky it might be to recreate that..?
Unrelated, but on my 2nd play through (on which I have only completed tulins quest!), I managed to defeat gloom hands+phantom ganon!

18:54 -- In high school one of the youth groups we did an all night event and they had a bear head rug in the closet. We snuck it out when someone fell asleep and placed it right in front of their face and then woke them up. Let's just say, the reaction was about what you would assume a reaction to such things would be.

After you return Yunobo back to normal, bring him straight to Bludo and talk to Bludo and there will be a special Easter egg, Bludo will actually comment on Yunobo being back to normal and say something along the lines of “…” “wait, is that Yunobo? He’s been wearing that mask for so long that I forgot what he looks like without the mask. Even though Yunobo is normal the situation here sure isn’t though.”

It's only the mini-stables that are interesting when you try to register a deer
actually no, you need to make sure your horses are boarded first, then at normal stables you can try to register non-horses

How you got the deer so easily this particular deer is needed for a side quest that became very hard for me... I did the quest with the bear you used later in the video.
The game fully asks you to use bomb flowers on the like-likes though XD In the first one you're likely to come across, it's preceded by bomb flowers. And if you lob one at it then hide, it'll eat it.
Idk if you have already done this but what happens if you throw a korok into lava

You don't get anything, the heart container just sits there and you can't pick it up unless you use the demon statue to exchange hearts for Stamina.
