- In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it pays off to ask "What Happens If". Like what if you let Riju DIE during the Gerudo defense mission? We're going to let Riju suffer defeat and see what happens in this video! We find the answer to that question and a whole bunch more here.

I was thinking about riju’s age difference between botw and totk to figure out how much time has passed. I wonder if we’ll ever get an old man Link in a Zelda game.
A fable version of Zelda would be so cool.
I think it's only been 5 years. We kind of had an old man Link in A Link Between Worlds. The old man that lets you fight Dark Links is that man and you can fight him.
its either 5 years or around 15 depending on how old riju is in botw and totk, tulin DID become a teenager though.
well, at least 8 years have passed, so she is at least twentyish.

I always dressed up as a Yiga when confronting Master Kogha lmao, it was always so hilarious to see his remarks on it, especially since he's the only Yiga who comments on your disguise not working on him. Like, he's not the only Yiga who sees through your disguise, there are at least two Yiga traps where it doesn't matter you're in full Yiga-gear, they'll attack you anyway - the Colosseum in the Depths under Korok Forest, and the Zelda in a Cage trap on Dueling Peaks (that one gave me the arguably best ingame photo I've taken, I put up it in Link's house). There might be other traps where the disguise won't work but I missed those in that case. I also found it funny to dye the outfit yellow, though I was a little sad it didn't change any dialogue. Though the one who complains about Link's hair colour became a little funnier bc he won't remark on you being banana-coloured lol
theres also another stable quest where if your wearing a disguise it doesmt matter, they will attack anyways. think it was the one where you have to chase the lady

Riju died a few times for me because I didn't know that part was going to be a notch above normal Zelda difficulty.

I got that result with Riju the first two (maybe three?) times I did that fight. Was quite surprised at it.
Riju died my first time with this mission because I didn't realize the Gerudo would be incompetent at defending their queen from the moths and I had time to saunter over and help.

Ever thought of how old Impa is? She witnessed the events of 100 years ago when she was 20. That means she’s at least 120 years old, plus the time between botw and totk. How is she still alive???
I think Sheikah have slightly longer lifespans than Hylians? Idk, maybe I made that up but I feel like I heard that somewhere.

since i didnt see anyone else comment it, theres actually a layer of water under the entire map, just gerudo desert. whenever water shows up in the map, the devs just brought up the water instead of spawning in water for that spot. they do the same technique for both botw and totk so it must be more optimized than individually placing water around the map
theres multiple episodes of boundary break that go over botw and totk that go over this in them if you want a better explanation than what i can do
They do this in a lot of games actually, including oot and other zelda games
So Link goes limp and drops dead at zero hearts, but Riju only collaspes to her knees?

There's a few sick combat tricks you can pull with Rocket Shield Surfs. If you do a spin while doing a rocket shield, it has some really weird properties.

The reason that hyrule has an ocean underneath is because its how the devs put water around the map. It also helps with "raising water levels" when it rains.
15:15 I’m legit farming gibdos at all 4 locations rn and I was so confused my brain thought I was playing on 2 screens
If you look in more of the graves at the cemetary there should be gibdos in them
I have a suggestion for what you should do next!!! I think you should inspect the plum garden in Kakariko Village and see if you can take the sundilion in the garden. This is just a dumb suggestion. I also luv ur gyes vids❤

-TP: during an escort mission trying to save Ralis, the scene you use the Gale Boomerang to stop the fire from burning the wagon.
-Spirit Tracks: If you didn't unlock tracks to the Pirate Hideout, and are fighting against the Big Blin fight, and one of your Passengers get caught

I know of an error message no one is talking about yet. If you just use Autobuild without ever making something with Ultrahand afterwards. You will get an error message saying "there are no registered designs. I recently decided to replay TOTK, and when I got Autobuild, I used it, and there it was, "it said "there are no registered designs". Let me remind you, the only way you could ever see this death message is if you never use Ultrahand again after obtaining Autobuild. Once you do, there will be a registered design, and you won't need that error message anymore!
Now we need to know what Malanya says if your horse dies like that.

Honestly, never saw the scene for Riju because I pulled that fight off first try. Though I am a menace with a bow regardless if I'm using her power or not.
