Why run the wiring up the passenger side, couldn't flip the light bar so the wire was on the driver's side and thereby not have to run the wiring twice as far?
Depending on the light bar, sure. We were trying to avoid a lot of extra slack at the battery is why. That and we didn't want the wire off the back of the light bar coming UP. It was angled DOWN so it was a bit neater that way. If we had the wire coming out the driver side the wire would have come up near the top an gone UPWARDS
Isn't there a prewired location at the bumper? Can this kit use that location instead?@@4x4TruckLEDscom I am ready to put an order for a baja design kit but want to clarify on installation before making one.
@@wangshuokevin There is a wire left at the top of the grill but it's not pre-wired. It's just a wire that goes back against the firewall. you'd need to connect the light bar to that, ground the light bar harness somewhere still, and then connect that wire by the firewall to a hot wire. It's actually more work to try and do that then to just use our included wire harness. It plugs into the light bar and routes up to the upfitters
Great video, excited to get my new Baja setup
Do you know if this will work with the Rough Country 30" light bar with the Safari Bar?
We're not sure. We designed this to work with Baja Designs, Diode Dynamics and Rigid Industries 30" light bars
