    This guy is a great representative! His knowledge and clarity of speech is refreshing in this era of mumbling and product ignorance on TH-cam!

      Haha, thank you so much, we appreciate that! Yeah, we try to be clear and to the point, and that comes from the same frustration.

    Great video! I purchased this kit from Baja Designs. Their install documentation is terrible and your clear video instructions really helped confirmed what I was doing was incorrect. Thank you.

    Can you run the squadron light and the s2 lights all on one auxiliary switch to save room for other stuff?

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, definitely. Would just need to combine the two wires from the upfitter harnesses into one. I'd suggest switch 2 to make sure you have enough amperage.

  • @hamiltin1361
    @hamiltin1361 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If I get the sportsman kit and only turn on the S2 sports, I'd be SAE compliant? They seem to be the same light in the SAE and non-SAE kit.

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, sorta? Technically the s2’s are not SAE certified, only the squadrons. They’re just low enough lumens that they figure it’s a non issue, and also they’re switched separately and you can run just the SAE squadrons on the street. The SAE kit is not technically fully SAE certified.

    Hi Alex, do you sell the switched harness by itself for this kit? Thanks

    • @Motoroso

      Yes. That harness is available individually. We don’t have a listing on the website but we can get it for you. Contact us directly tomorrow 833.Motoroso

    why not use the prewires Ford gives you for either of the lights?

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      What do you mean? Did you watch the install portion? The oem aux switches (an option, not standard equipment in every bronco) run to a harness in the engine bay. That’s what the upfitter harness is for, we wired the lights to those.

    For the sportsmen kit are the S2 lights already street legal and just the big is too bright for on road use?

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the S2’s are not “SAE”.

    • @WILDcardPG
      @WILDcardPG ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Motoroso ok so only the big one in the SAE package otherwise the rest are off-road/rec use only.

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WILDcardPG correct, in the SAE kit, only the squadrons are SAE certified

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WILDcardPG Yes, technically, correct.

  • @HedgeMaster26

    The thing that is funny is SAE in the traditional sense is the acronym for "Society of Automotive Engineers". DOT would be who would approve them for street use. Interesting that is on there though.

  • @jacobhardy2313
    @jacobhardy2313 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    SAE is society of automotive engineers, and that’s not correct to say that SAE = street legal. Lights must be approved by DOT (department of transportation) to be street legal. SAE controls quality and manufacturing, DOT controls what is and isn’t legal
