Congratulations DC, being a Dad is the greatest honor any man can ever receive. At 35 I wasn't sure it would ever happen for me, then met the right girl and made 3 of them in 6 years. It totally rewired me and made my life a lot more meaningful. Everyone who ever said to you "it changes you" is right 1000%. Get out the phone and buy a good camera, try to capture ever bit of it you can because its a blast and it passes by quick! 6 months from now he's eating solid food, then walking a few months after, then talking before you know it.. You'll look at the pictures and cry, feel sad that its gone and happy at the same time that you got to have those moments. God is great my friend!

It's hard man. My son's 3½ and I feel like I'm just now dialed on the dad tip. I also chose to not be a guy who's life doesn't change any after a child. Meanwhile mom is full time mom.. I was traveling for 8 months at a time for work. Stopped all that. He needs me.

Congratulations DC! Little late but I’m getting caught up on the video watching! I got a daughter graduating high school in a couple days from Lawrence County Alabama so not far from ye! I use to be in a club down in Sylacauga. Land bumped up against paint creek so I know a little bit about your area. Anyways yeah daughter headed to college another daughter gonna be a senior next year, son is a junior next year and another son who’s moved out and doing good. Never forget that first one though. It changed me at the very moment I held her. My grandpappy told me something that was spot on, he said son it ain’t about you no more it’s about her and from that day on everything I do with my life is for my kids. They’re awesome and gives us purpose as men. Congratulations again and I hope all is well.
