- We punched our ticket at Douglas Lake to make it here. The weights are reset so it is like starting a whole new tournament on a whole new body of water. I didn't get to practice much on Cherokee so we are going to have to play it by ear today and hopefully run into some good ones.

Spinner bait, the fish go in stages in East Tennessee, jerkbait and a rig, then spinner bait. I promise you put a spinner bait in your hand and don’t put it down

Cherokee use to not be a small mouth lake till Mayb 8 years ago then the small mouth just started to take over. It was always mostly largemouth. It’s just now starting to level out again

Sorry buddy I really like you but id have to disagree with you on Cherokee smallies its my home lake you was at the wrong end should have been closer to the dam and fished the humps and bluff walls ive won several big tournaments with 18lbs+ of just browns there

If you want to catch smallmouth on cherokee if you ever come back stay down the lake. I like your videos but just because you didn't smash em don't mean the lake socks. But if your ever around here and have free time go to south Holston best smallmouth lake ever and as good as you are with panoptics you would love it. God bless and stay safe
I catch a lot bigger smallies at watauga, but I also fish that lake 4 days a week and south holston the other lol

That was some miserable conditions to have to fish in, when the fish are used to current & there is none, not much biting is going to happen, you get an A+ for trying though, that dinner sure looked good 👍🎣

I live just off Pickwick Lake and I'll catch smallies all year round. Just to prove you wrong, I'm going to start posting all my smallie catches this summer on IG and tagging Brett so he can show you all those doggone catches to prove a point. 😝

Man, I’ve been watching you long enough to know that you are a competitor, and not winning is tough for you. But I’ve definitely seen so much growth and maturity in how you handle the tourneys that didn’t go the way you hoped.
It dawned on me watching y’all in the hot tub, that I think what’s really evident in your outlook these days is that you’re unabashedly grateful, and you know what you have, not only in your wife, but in your extended family of the other guys, and that you’re making a great living doing what you dreamed of and worked so hard for.
Gratitude is a blessed attitude brother, and good things come to those who appreciate their blessings, whether they’re holding a trophy, or moving on to the next opportunity.
You’re a great inspiration to the young guys coming up, and you’re a great angler that I’m proud to be a fan of.

@@DCFishing found the boomer in the ommnets. You passed a big rock Bluff up river where I caught a double digit largemouth, so the big girls are there. It's better known for hybrid, whitebass and walleye though in that stretch of river.
