Remember to look behind you and downwind before initiating gybe. A fast sailor might be about to overtake you downwind of you. Learn with a smaller sail even if you are sub planing.
Great :-) You do toe to heel in the foot switch (front foot behind back foot). Some recommend the opposite heel to toe? Does it matter? Has it something to do with board size? All the best Per
In my experience it is leaning back and putting too much weight on the back of the board, combined with not bending the knees which means you cannot absorb the chop when it comes.
Hello, I am consulting you for the table (board) you are using, I cannot distinguish in the video what it marks and how many liters, and if not much to ask for, I would like to know the sleeve and the length. A cordial greeting from Bs. As.
The change while planning comes mainly from pressing more on your toes and tilting the board that way. The front foot stays in the footstrap so it does not move and I do not think about moving the sail
@@RYTISJAS I try to turn sharper than I should, (so I don't have to head up wind so far) have too much back foot pressure and my sail lands at 11:00 after the flip. Thank you! My mast may also be too far away from my body after the flip. I'm used to sailing in central Pennsylvania where we are lucky to get one good gust long enough to make a gybe in the first place. I'm used to hurrying it up.
How well does it work for learning if a person self records with a GoPro using a helmet or boom mount? I can’t see myself getting someone to film me because of our local water conditions (temperature and currents) and distances from shore.
Everybody breaks down the jibe into three parts. The problem is that nobody explains how you actually do it on the water. So step one: head down wind, back arm back , foot out. Then what? You kind of have no choice except to go to step two, right? Is there some way to bail out at that point if you feel like you’re doing it wrong? Or to repeatedly practice this step to perfect it? And then step two, without going on to step three? We really get no information at all on how to break it down, but we’re all told we need to. Very frustrating.
Well it depends on your weight haha if you are a heavy bastard like me (~95kg) than you have no chance... If you are around 60kg then use the approach outlined in this video and focus on keeping speed throughout the jibe
多謝!
It's a good start. Kudos to Blanca for steady camera work, despite she wanted to be in your videos 🤣
Haha yeah - she will be back soon!
Has this project been put on hold? I was, and still am!, really looking forward to this series!
This will be an awesome series 🤙🤙 🤪
For sure 💪
Nice video Rytis! Hope you will continue jibe learning series ...
I will!
nice initiative!! will support, many thanks
Awesome!!

All the best Per
2:43 beginning of the interesting part
Nice , 👍, which are the most common reasons when you loose to much speed in part 2 (middle) , entry speed too low or sail position, other ?

@@RYTISJAS Thank you 👍
Nice video buddy. What are the point 7s like. Sorry it's not a jybe question?
Compared to Duotone that I was on the Point-7s are significantly softer. But hey are just as fast if not faster
@@RYTISJAS thank you rytis thinking about getting some!

It is Future Fly Dark Horse 132l volume 85cm wide
@@RYTISJAS Gracias!
hello again, and what length ?? long.
Thanks!!
The length of what exactly?
from the table you are browsing in this video
When you r getting into entry(upwind to downwind change), do you bring your rig forward and front foot forward?
The change while planning comes mainly from pressing more on your toes and tilting the board that way. The front foot stays in the footstrap so it does not move and I do not think about moving the sail
@@RYTISJAS so only foot pressure can make that dramatic change?
Yes, check in slow motion from 2:49 barely anything moves in my body and the direction changes - just press on the toes
@@RYTISJAS Thank for the tip.
Looking forward to the videos! Hope you also get sponsored by Tack Wear... we'll get more tutorials!
Hahaha - I hope so too!
I have trouble with the exit. How can I practice the exit without the entry and the carve?
Can you describe in more details what happens at the exit?

A lot better than no footage at all - for this specific reason I would recommend GoPro max due to the 360 view that you can get.

One suggestion if you wanna take it is to not use that bad analogy anymore “Slave”
No more six pack videos? Duuuude!
No more six packs to brag with...? Maybe!
I would actually enjoy that - as it would mean I am fat and heavy, which means fast. Unfortunately I still have it haha
Boom!!!
How can I jump Gybe with my 64L small board in 20 knots wind? 👻😹

#JibeBae
Haha love it
4:50 child enslavement??? What's going on here🧐🧐😂
That sail seems ridiculously downhauled.
Hah. Who needs to watch this video... Just wear some JibeWear gear and you can jibe right?
Exactly!!!
👍🏼for the video, 👎for the Jibewear ( boring - if it would be that good it would sell by itself )
Yea sure. Because no other brand is doing ads. You are a real marketing profi. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤮
