@23:45 I think i know what they were trying to do. If i remember correctly, Archaedas, or how the boss's name is, is spawning enemies from time to time. What they were doing is taking the boss out of his room so they could only fight the boss and not the extras, in simple words they were glitching the game. But unfortunately some of them got locked IN the room and they cannot attack the boss or help in any way. Now what i don't know is if the extras spawn regardless of the boss being in the room or not.

As you can see the players that were with him before he joined the group also vanished.
I had this yesterday where we wanted to make new charakters but spawned on different layers.
As soon as i joine his group i was dragged to his layer and could suddenly see him and other players, when nobody was around before i accepted the invite.
So he accepted the invite go switched to a new layer and there all the mobs were present!
Be aware of that when you join groups in hc.
He even says it wasn't a hyperspawn. The discussion just happens at the same time.
