thank you for uploading this, as i was honestly doubting if i could solo him with my SNS as i found i felt like i was doing damage to him, but that i was just running out of time. I'm currently fighting alatreon in tri and im determined to kill him by myself, and this video will be of great use to study!
I did a couple months back! I posted the full recording my winning run on my channel. It actually took 2 days after i wrote this combat of many attempts to break his horns as fast as possible so that my ice sword was at it's highest efficacy. still nearly timed out though @@abigmonster8457
Yeah true, SnS was sort of frowned upon back in the day, though recently it seems to have become more popular again, at least in the MH3SP closed/open beta :) Thanks for the kind words!
@@hanvelsing one thing I don't remember seeing through the whole video was Alatreon never went into his lightning/ice state, was that not a thing in Tri? Or did I just miss it lol
@@jokig It's different from e.g. 3U - whenever Tri Alatreon takes flight, he switches to lightning/ice state, and back to fire/dragon when he lands (except when returning from the icicle spam). You can see him switch at 8:22 That's also why ice is pretty much the de facto best element, since you can't really take advantage of the dragon weakness when he flies anyway /e: he switches back at 9:18
