Howard Reed was a relatively unknown guitarist who happened to order the very first black stratocaster. Its a cool historical detail but I'm not sure how it warrants a $9000 custom shop model. Who's gonna buy it?
Less CAN be more. It depends on note choice and phrasing. Sometimes a player can sound like they just completely "checked out" of the song entirely. Busy playing is great and more selective playing is also great. It matters more about timing and phrasing.
