How many of you have tried cut bait for redfish? If you have, what is your go-to cut bait?

My go-to cut bait for redfish is mullet on a bottom rig!

Blue crabs are my new favorite. I fish them on a sheep sticker jig and have been doing really well lately!

This is the best thing about living in the Tampa Bay area. At any point you can just use cut bait or free line live bait into the mangroves and catch just about anything.

Great video Brent. Kinda surprised you dont hook the occasional black drum seeing as how you fish cut bait alot in the mangroves...?...you've sure got the reds dialed in. Good job. Also I used your blackened fish technique and recipe last night and I liked it so much better than how I was doing it...I was using way too much oil.

I like using live pinfish, bc I can actively fish them. Idk if I have the patience to use cut bait and just wait. Good videos man

Caught my PB redfish on cut mullet. While I’ve caught plenty of reds on mud minnows and shrimp, the ones I catch on cut pinfish and cut mullet tend to be bigger.. Unfortunately, occasionally catch rays on the bottom with cut bait.

Nice job guys. Talk about surprise on the Sabiki rig, I dropped one to get some cigars or grunts off shore and a Bonito hit it. Ttalk about a fight on light tackle, LOL. It was a blast. Keep 'em coming boys. Love seeing you guys slay them. PS. how many casts went into the mangroves, lol.

@@skatevans1215 .... 32k subs pretty much fishing the same nook in the same island over and over, something’s working well for him, can’t really knock that. Yeah, I see cut bait in the thumb nail and already know what little nook in the mangroves he’s going to be tossing it at, but if ant broke.... 😁🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
