Fishing With Cut Bait For Snook, Trout And Redfish, Catching Multiple Species On Florida Flats

  • I caught multiple species while using cut Pinfish for bait. To my surprise I hooked a really big Snook and caught three nice Spotted Sea Trout with the cut bait. I also landed a big Ladyfish and a few catfish. The reason I put in the title that I was fishing with Pinfish for Redfish is because I saw a couple of nice reds, but just couldn't get them to take the bait.
Pinfish are really easy to catch on the flats. All that is needed is a tiny #8 hook and a small piece of shrimp or squid. Just look for the sandy pot holes in the grass and cast the bait in them. In no time you'll be hooked up with a baitfish.
Also in these sandy areas is where a lot of the bigger fish like Redfish, Snook and Speckled Trout will lay waiting for the tide to bring something to eat their way. All of the fish I caught on cut Pinfish in this video were laying in those sandy areas among the grass flats.

JC I love that you always share what bait you’re using. I’ve watched many channels in the past and they always try to keep it hush hush. Thanks for all you do!

I fish this area all the time! It's an easy launch if you know where the hidden ramp is. You can slip right into the back of the "Bayou". If you cruise out onto the river the flats out there are very productive, too!

@@RadReelingFishing I don't have the Patience to fish inshore for Trout and others...I'm an offshore bottom fishing type and I'm used to catching vs fishing...I admire your sobriety and I think my Patience problem comes from the fact that 1...im just into my 60's and 2..a beer chilling in my fridge is on my mind...that's why you are good at what you do and I suck..but anyhoot..how do you rate the taste of speckled Trout...enough for me to find some patience and know how??....thx in advance..Mr Rock Star!

@@fishnski9211 I think trout is on the very mild side of fish flavor. I'll keep them because I enjoy eating fish. I don't generally target trout often, not much fight to them unless it's in the 20" range.
