2021 June Laguna Seca Track Day - A few quick laps

Quick consistent Laps around lovely Laguna Seca. At the end I bumped into my GoPro and the angle is a bit off. Apologies for that.

Insane lap times for a track day, was just there 2 weeks ago and B class was running 1:55-2ish
Thank you but there is still room and quiet a few folks running faster than me. The new surface is very bumpy though as you can see me struggling into T11 for example :(
Thanks for sharing, enjoyed watching that :) Travel restrictions permitting I hope to be there myself in November, flying over from the UK using my Honda Fireblade. Interesting to see you shortshifting up the hill, that BMW sure does fly!
The short shifting after turn 5 is due to sound restrictions . That’s also why my line is so weird to stay away from the sound booth. With stock bikes you can go flat out when you short shift .

I'm surprised how groups do in the US, in Spain you won't see riders with such a difference in level riding together
I see ! Yes groups in the USA are a mess as we don’t use transponders and we often get huge speed differences . Tracks in Europe are a lot better organized.
2nd 3rd 4th even the 5th lap time I was rooting for you to beat your last time. Your straight acceleration speed still amazes me
hah thanks ! Can't wait to go back when they resurfaced the track. And yes the bikes acceleration is unreal and my current version is even faster .
Why so slow on a 1000? I am running 1:38s on a 600.
Fishing for complements ? 1:38s are very quick for track days . Drop to 1:36 and you can race moto America super sport class back of the grid . My pb is 1:36.5 now and I’m very happy with that respectable time 😀

Which ones did you use?
I’m running pirellis but it’s really just a preference if you like Dunlop Michelin or pirelli better
