    Helpful video. Another tip I'd like to give for anyone whoever decides to go, if you have enough money you can also offer to pay your rent upfront for a year. Usually you can even get a good discount then. That's what my girlfriend and me did living in Guiyang, currently on our third year here. But am considering of moving to Chongqing, currently here as we speak.

    Really loved the video! I'm working for EF in Wuhan at the moment. The utilities are seem very similar between the two areas. Also do you have any advice on getting those higher paying teaching jobs in china? EF is a great start but I'd like to earn a bit more.

    • @SheRunTheWorld
      @SheRunTheWorld  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks!! Very cool, good to know. Honestly, just from living in CQ I met people who were working at international schools and even had people reach out to me on LinkedIn since my location on there was Chongqing. So I feel like it’s easier to make connections the longer you’re there!
      EF definitely is a great start, but if you want to make good money international schools are the way to go! I’d say just start researching international schools in your area and see if you easily transition there after your EF contract since you’re already in the area!

    i wonder how much it is now for food and apartments ? ... with all this inflation .. food here in the states is insanity you can order doordash and easily spend over 30 bucks for one meal its tragic honestly ... you said 30-80 RMB thats 4 bucks to 11 bucks for a meal i would take that all day and pretty much get 3 meals 😂 .asia is nuts with the affordability.... i was looking at Thailand but mite go for China cuz of the visa exemption with my caribbean passport it will be one thing to not stress about that would be one of the biggest reasons to go to china

    • @SheRunTheWorld
      @SheRunTheWorld  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I’m honestly not sure about the inflation as I lived there in 2018-2019. Although I had friends who stayed until 2022 and they said the prices stayed relatively the same! So I can’t imagine it’s increased a lot, it’s a very affordable place to live if you choose a tier 2 or 3 city. The tier 1 cities are very expensive
