    Just smashed the 👍🏻 and subscribed. Your lawn looks awesome! Keep up the good work. Love the energy, enthusiasm and positive vibes. Keep doing what you’re doing and trust the process. Throw down some more seed once the temps drop and you will be fine.

    Oooh, those stripes are looking nice! I haven’t tried striping myself yet, but one tip I’ve heard consistently is to go over the same stripes two or three times to really “burn” them in. I think it presses the grass down further.
    Also I laughed at your comment regarding new tools/equipment not staying pretty. I’m SO like that and always have to calm myself down when I get a scratch on a new piece of equipment. 😂

    Stripe east to west so the sun will always most those stripes pop. Can go over it two time to really get those stripes in the lawn. Go get some compost bags and put that in your lawn rake it in. I put 8 to 10 bags on my lawn this spring and doing good ill do the same this fall. Feed the soil and your grass will grow.

    Looks good. You have to mix it up tho. Mow north and south on one week and east & west on another. I get the most compliments when I mow (if your yard was a clock) at an angle, say 2 and 8 and the next week 10 & 4. To get really good stripes, you need to mow 2 or 3 times in one direction. (No one said this was easy) Your yard is a little bigger than mine and would look good with the double-wide stripes. check it out on TH-cam. Good luck!

      I completely disagree. I first run a perimeter everywhere but the street and I’ve got a curb. You don’t get a full stripe if you don’t run the roller all the way to the street. Run to the street when you mow in this direction (up/down) and when at 45*. You should cycle between directions every mow…and bag the clippings.

    • @Rich3090
      @Rich3090 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m not sure what state you’re in. But I would forget about the baby grass and just maintain what you have till the fall when the temperatures drop and try and replant then. I would highly recommend getting a good grass seed not something you just pick up from Lowe’s or Home Depot.

    • @asuccessfulmindsetnow
      @asuccessfulmindsetnow  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Rich3090 I agree! Thanks so much for the comment! I’m definitely going to get some seed from somewhere other than Lowes!

    • @Rich3090
      @Rich3090 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@asuccessfulmindsetnow if you did the Scott’s rapid grass I’m assuming your growing fescue so I would go with Jonathan Green, GCI or some triple threat for a good fescue grass seed. I’m in central Nc and plan on using GCI tttf along with Jonathan Green dense shade for fescue and mixing in some fireball and hattrick perennial rye grass seed. Hopefully before the end of the month, depending on temperatures.

    Your lawn doesn't look bad. There are spots that need to be filled in. If your lawn is 50% needs to be filled in then it's time to do a reset. But trying to grow grass in July that's hard. Early spring mid-fall. Well I assume this is still the end of July 2024. It's hard to get your lawn to do anything fantastic for you. As for striping I'm into natural look I go out of my way to use the blower to get rid of striping. I also mow my grass at 4 inches in July. I know that'll scare the heck out of all you. I go by the What a lawn needs rule. It needs sun, it needs food, It needs water and it needs to be mowed. Sometimes your law needs to be reset. That is the only time you pull out of Thatcher. If you bag your lawn every time You mow. You don't have to worry about thatch. I reuse the grass I bag. I turned it in compost. I mow half an acre that's another reason why I don't like stripes. And yes I use a walk behind It's not electric. I also drive a vehicle that's not electric It gets 17 miles to the gallon. I also live where it's cold in the winter our temperature range goes from -15 to as high as 100° Sum years in the summer. Welcome to Michigan. I will say The only person that needs to like your lawn is you no one else matters well...If you're married there's going to be somebody that's going to say.The outside is yours until she doesn't like it. Then hand her the lawn mower and say get busy it's yours now. Mine hasn't said that again.
