with that and the gun sounds I was thinking it was Lethal Enforcers.
As soon as that scene came up and he had just said about the intro music sounding like a nes game, I nearly choked. That made me think of someone using the headset accessory for nes where you could shout to fire in a game.
I'm a native speaker of Japanese and I can assure you, the letters you mentioned earlier has absolutely no meaning and makes no sense that it's kind of amazing in a way.

NOT like Sharknado. like Samurai Cop, Birdemic, the Room, or anything by the genius that is Neil Breen. Sharknado was made intentionalky to be so bad it's good, and it just doesn't work the way those other movies do. Sharknado is ruining the good name of terrible movies that were meant to be good. I confused myself there for a second...hope you know what I mean.

Wow, I thought "The Room" was so good it's bad, but this by God, this takes the cake, it's significantly more awkward than "The Room" and is hilarious. Kudos on the review Mark.
Sherif El Sharkawy the room is at least....competently...shot. it's not good, but it looks like it was filmed by someone who at least knows how to operate a film camera and control a set. This looks like they gave it to a 9th grader to writer, a 6th grader to film and a 3rd grader to edit. and i'm not talking about a smart 9th grader. i'm talking about one of those 20 year old guys who failed four times.

The story behind the wig, so I heard, is that he thought he was done shooting all of the scenes for the movie, so he cut his hair or shaved it. Later he found out he had more scenes to shoot, so they made him wear a wig.

The actor said that he was taken to a ladies' wig store and the director got him a "Jaclyn Smith" - one of the original Charlie's Angels.

You know, a lot of this movie actually makes sense after hearing the actors talk about it, for example 11:30
The guy was actually waiting for the director to say cut, but it never came, so he just sat down and laughed assuming it would get cut out anyways. A lot of the stuff that is in this movie the actors expected would get cut out, or did on purpose when they stopped taking the film seriously.
the guy who plays samurai cop said he completely gave and got pissed off after he was called 3 months after shooting was over, to shoot over 60% of the scenes. The black cop's reaction shots were mostly made to make samurai cop laugh. Most of the closeups were shot in the same room after filming was over, which is why the actor's look FML, they have no idea where they're even supposed to be. The weird jokes and dialogue come from the director's script, and because he didn't want to change it even after actors insisted it didn't make sense

Lol. This movie definitely lives up to its top 5 worst ever hype. They could of made a great documentary with the actors talking about all the 'on screen' & 'behind the scenes' comedy of errors that went into filming this.
And it's so obvious when samurai cop is wearing a womans wig (for example the scene starting at 11:13) and very obvious in other shots & scenes. And remember, this is the film industry. There are plenty of male wigs to choose from especially in this era of "Hair Metal" music when so many of those cheesy L.A. bands were wearing wigs or shooting movie scenes with a metal band playing at a club or a concert, etc. Lol. Instead the director was in such a bind by having to basically reshoot the movie again & do all that by the production deadline & trying to save as much budget as possible, he prolly had a production asst. run into the 1st wig store searching for any brown womans wig!
The fact that he had to reshoot nearly 2/3 of the scenes 3 months after filming is beyond rediculous & well deserving of being a top 5 worse movie of all time.
Sometimes these "worst ever" don't live up to the hype. A lot of them are definitely runners up in that competition, but not quite THAT bad. This movie is THAT bad.
Another misleading thing about the poster - I'm pretty sure that's a wedding ring on Samurai Cop's finger. I'm picturing a good cop in a crooked city, who gets betrayed by his partner and is presumed dead after a Japanese gang ambush his home and kill his wife. He is then rescued by an old Samurai master, and becomes Samurai Cop, a vengeful vigilante out to claim his former partner's head...

Apparently they were trying to have it say, “To dream a bloody dream,” or “to have a bloody dream” or something like that. “Mochi he Yume chino” --should be--> “chi no yume wo miru”
Well, you could also include "mochi" as in rice cake, which makes "Mochi he yume chi no"... ummmm… "Rice cakes toward dream blood of..."
I can sense in my very bones how deeply threatening that is.
Actually, I like how Red and Z'Dar get into the hospital room. Red has the trash can in the MIDDLE of the cart and we all know there's no way Robert Z'Dar was scrunched in the remaining narrow space. This doesn't even mention the fact that Red is pushing that cart like it weighed about five pounds. Hilarity among utter hilarity.

You need to see the Red Letter Media interview with the star of Samurai Cop, Matt Hannon. It's hilarious.
Your instincts on the reasons for the problems in this movie are 100% spot on. The director had no direction for the movie. He shot a whole bunch of scenes out of order with no real idea of how it was gonna fit together and the reason for all those strange reaction shots was because the director just pointed the camera at his actors and told them to just make reactive facial expressions that he could then just splice into his movie where needed. So all the actors are trying to act without any context or motivation. It's just amazing.

Loved it! The "Explain it Like I'm 5" style, that's great. I love it. I've seen movies all my life, but the life on set, off the set, on the lab and inside the machine, those remain alluring and uncharted territories. And I could use some guidance. Where do I sign up?

Yes there are some shots where he is wearing a hat and obvious wig. Most of them are a lot of car shots. He had already cut his hair after the movie but they asked him to come back and redo a few shots XD.

Actually, the actor had THOUGHT the scene was supposed to end at that point, but the director had never said "cut", (hence the long pause where he holds that position), and by the time he sat down he thought for sure the scene had to be over (which of course, it wasn't). This is explained by Matt Hannon (Samurai Cop) in the two-part interview he did with RedLetterMedia, which is worth checking out if you wanna know what level of incompetence it takes to produce a film this terrible.
He's a long time actor so he was waiting for the director to say cut, his laugh was probably at himself for think how dumb he looked for just pointing for a long time

I love that Samurai Cop is clearly not in the restaurant when he's delivering his speech to the bad guys.
I'd have to rewatch the movie to be sure, but I think he actually was. The gang were sat in a window area that's completely different from the rest of the restaurant, as I think can be seen in other shots. The stupid thing is, because of where the director chose to sit them, it does look like they're in a different location.

Yes, Those were pick-up shots where he was wearing the wig because he had cut his hair about 6 months after filming. He was told by his agent, while looking for a new acting gig, that he should cut his hair because everyone had long hair in those days.

Lead actor Mathew Karedas (credited as Matt Hannon) cut his long hair very short seven months after filming wrapped. While he was looking for more acting work, director and screenwriter Amir Shervan called him back for some re-shoots. Shervan was furious that Karedas had cut his hair and immediately went out to look for a wig. Unfortunately, Shervan was only able to find a woman's wig that looked nothing like Karedas's long hair. Karedas agreed to wear it, assuming Shervan was going to do some long-shots and pick-ups. Shervan still had half of the movie to shoot, completely out of chronological order. As a result, Karedas' character's hair alternates between his natural long hair and an obvious wig. The wig even comes off a few times, revealing Karedas's real short hair.
Amir Shervan was actually not the only Iranian filmmaker who ended up making terrible movies in US after the Islamic Revolution. Behrouz Vossoughi, respected Iranian actor followed similar career degradation after the defection to the US. Well, Job's job, they say...

The actor that played Samurai Cop did admit in an interview that the first scene with him in a hat was a reshoot. And he did have to wear the wig and hat as he had already cut his hair.

This movie is so unintentionally funny it's hard to believe.I saw an interview and he did cut his hair but additional scenes were needed,hence the wig.
I think the main guy in this might be the villain in BADLANDERS which is terrible as well I highly recommend seeing it

It's really just an abomination and I don't know why I expected a coherent Japanese sentence from this kinda movie
The great part about them talking to the traffic woman in the helicopter is they aren't wearing any mic but having a conversation like they are in the same room lol
