They have been the best liveband for quite a while now, and they just seem to be getting better. Also they keep pushing out fantastic music,so the setlists just keeps getting more amazing every year.
Imagine being able to write music, that touches so many people and makes them all feel so goddamn well in that moment sharing it together. That's as close as you could get to god. People shall not undervalue Vennart, the guy with the guitar on the right side, always a bit off the stage. Their live greatness has to to with the 2nd guitar as well. "Many of horror" and all these people sining along made me cry - and I'm a 43 year old fucker. Music is so unique.
Was a great night. About £53 a ticket as well, unlike now where it's like £90+ to see a big band. Can I also say their debut performance of unknown male 01 was superb
Ah man, I would have loved to see them in a tiny venue again. Last few years they've played on bigger stages in Europe. Def good for them, but I enjoy tinier venues so much more.
Simon is my cousins uncle, my gran absolutely adores them, cousin got us stage tickets when they got booked for trnsmt so offered to take my gran to it but she’s was more fixated that they’d be on the bbc 😂 she kept saying “I’ll get to see oor Si on the bbc on the tv!!” We kept saying to her she could actually be there in person but she was only proper impressed that it would be on the BBC 😂
Everything before the album Puzzle sounds very 'post hardcore' but Biffy's previous records still had "moments" in their songs that were very much pop hooks. Their fans are a bit divided, I know some people that only listen to albums that came before Puzzle because the change in sound was such a departure for them but it wasn't THAT much of a shift, and if they consciously decided to make songs that would appeal to a more mainstream audience then you definitely can't blame them given that they came up through old school hard graft, playing dingy little venues and touring in the back of a van. They earned their place at the top. I like the direction they've made since the Puzzle record. It's more of a pop rock sound like, say, the Foo Fighters but they still have their "post hardcore" moments in every song as a reminder of what they were. I think this is what makes them unique. They're probably one of the few REAL rock bands in the UK that are able to sell out stadiums with songs that would equally sound as amazing if they were played in a dingy pub somewhere.
I agree with this! Almost every non acoustic song after Puzzle has this breakdown somewhere around the bridge or at the very end, where those post hardcore stuff comes around. It's so fricking awesome and makes every album still feel original and not repetitive in anyway, while still keeping their Biffy sound. Best band ever and live even better.

You cannot hear in this video the passion and volume from the crowd, the crowd knew every word, every pause, every second to jump around like mad, absolute magic!!! MON THE BIFF! It was the best night of my life, I’ve been to see them in bellahouston in 2016, Belfast in 2017 with Muse and not in 2021, and they were on a different level in 2021, just unbelievable
I read one of duff mckagan's books, and he mentions (enthusiastically) about opening for these guys. I played a few songs, but haven't heard much until this live recording. I'm so hooked! A fan from the USA here!

I was there, brilliant gig and really enjoying watching it back even althrough they missed out some off the other stuff they played that night like re arrange, the champ and there new song unknown male which went down well with the crowd.
Yeh, I was surprised when they played The Champ. Its one of my personal faves from A Celebration of Endings - but I had resigned myself to it being just a very good 'album track' Was good to hear it getting the live treatment :P

Last good shows I saw were Slayer/Pantera/Sepultura/Clutch back in the 90's, but I'd come out of rock show retirement to see these dudes. They were on fire holy shit.
Have the pleasure to say this is the first gig I've been to since I was a 19 year old uni student (now 27) . . . After the last couple of years we've had aswell! What a way to start back!

It was special, being there with the fireworks, and the beautiful melody of Cop Syrup was truly an incredible moment in my life, will never forget it!
