Place 3 after a battle with Liam Moynihan and Alexis Chenevier.
Kilian Bron won the race 👏🏻.

Awesome run.. i think you were the fastest at the climb, you almost caught up with Kilian there.
If you can believe Strava, I was 10 secondes faster on the climb. But empty at the top. Had to take some time to recup.
It was a fabulous climb for sure. Dunno though if anybody was catching Killian on that day. Homeboy was flying.

Amazing how the top 4 riders really won it on the uphills. Downhill speed is important, but so are the uphills. Or maybe their bikes are too downhill specific?

He took a new line that nobody saw before. @ Mountain of Hell, you can ride your own track. Only have to pass the gates.

Haha, yes. The shortcut everyone has to know. But they only taped the track 1 day before the race. So not easy to know the lines.

I've seen a few versions of this years Hell and I see a red shirt cut at the start to the right of the start fencing in one video, he then is seen joining at the left turn hitting first place and going down over the rise. I guess that wasn't a valid route as first place wasn't having any of it.
We have to ride between the gates. The first gate is at the middle of the glacier. So he did not missed a gate. His line is oké. He took a risk to be in front and almost worked out perfect.

He did not followed the gates and took a faster track. There was not much time to ride the track before the race, so to know the gates was important.
If you mis 1, you will get a time penalty.

amazing. i think you were far and away the best climber, but unfortunately you didn;t have the speed of the other riders on the long fast downhill sections.

Haha, my plan was to sprint to 2nd, but I timed it a little bit to early. I was out of power 😨 I felt like I was faster in the last downhill.

This is so much better than watching Formula One it's not even close. This downhill racing, and the Isle of Man TT racing, are the only real racing left these days. F1 has been pathetic for at least a decade.
The only interesting racing is when spectators can see the direct involvement of the athletes. The decisions they're making, the risks, and especially a near-100% unwillingness to ever use the brakes.
Racing with brakes is not racing, it's exercising. Nothing more.

I wish I could be 1 at every race. But I’m happy to be racing for the top spots. There are a lot of other racers dreaming of the podium.
If I can do it, everybody with passion and focus can.
