I remember my first pikmin related memory being thinking it was an educational game because the pellets just conveniently have numbers written on them despite growing from flowers, so i figured it was a game that had something to do with numbers.

Plucking all these pikmin in 30 days is a daunting task for one Olaimar Dunno if this'll be something that's gonna be always achievable but, if you throw a blue pikmin at one that's drowning, the blue pikmin will toss them out of the water
Pikmin was an excellent game with good pacing and a few bugs... Most notoriously among them being: A. The pathing of the Pikmin (this is fortunately improved upon in the sequels). Mercifully, there is also no Pikmin tripping in the sequels. B. Some Pikmin clipping out of the map after an enemy falls on them (that isn't a crushing attack). Hope you liked this game. I preferred the sequels, but they can't quite capture the management style of this one...

It'd be fun to see Laimu play this again after learning the game basics from the first time (Watching this I genuinely wonder where I learned how anything in this game works). 1:42:20 ish, Pikmin are WH40K Orks confirmed.

I know you are getting a little help from the comments, but it seems like you are figuring most of it out on your own and you are doing amazingly well for a first time Pikmin player!

that always works in pikmin 1 but not in the later games.
It was removed in Pikmin 3, probably due to an AI change that made drowning Pikmin close to the land save themselves.

Ah so that's how a red Pikmin of mine managed to get himself ontop the outer wall of Perplexing Pool behind all the water.
The tripping is still in 2 its just only really happens when your swarming. 3 it happens randomly but very very very rare

If you hadn't defeated that puffstool when you did, those mushroomed pikmin would've attacked you, but killing it ended the spores' hold over them.
