I graduated last year at 60 years old, then passed the February bar. Just keep grinding and before you know it, you're done. Don't forget to enjoy the ride.
Wow, that’s awesome!! On my fourth week here, and beginning to learn to write my Civ Pro, Contracts, and Torts outlines, hehehe! I will keep your inspirational example in my thoughts. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on your life changing decision. I went to law school at 34. It wasn't easy by any means, but practicing law has allowed me to become financially secure and a huge help to my family! Best wishes to you on your journey! 😊
@@Demahevans In person. I went in 2008. At that time, in person was the only option, but it allowed me to develop critical relationships that aided in me graduating. Also, I still have some alumni connections till this day.
You are such an inspiration! I am 44 studying for the November LSAT. My primary intrest is Special Education and the lack of programming for a variety of student's with a disability
Thank you for mentioning Bar Prep and asking about preparations during law school itself. Never thought of that until now so it's going to be a consideration as I finalize my school choices in the application process this year. Congratulations to you and for sticking it through. I will be a 1L at 52!
@@natmonee I certainly wasn't thinking of Bar Prep when I started law school. I just wish I had planned ahead a little better and taken advantage of ALL the classes my school offers in this area. No need to do that until your last 2 semesters though.
Some have been permitted to accept Associate Degree/High GPA and LSAT now online law school by the ABA. A lot just changed over the last 4 months. Although thanks for the reply, I just couldn’t make out what you said when your mention your LSAT score/ averaged in with your GPA. Thanks again and go be amazing in your new career ❤❤❤🎉 You will Ace that Bar Exam.
@@TheCopelandsTea-Sept16 I have not seen anything in the new reports about the ABA changing the undergrad degree requirement but I know there are changes happening. My school has a full online program but the admission requirements are the same for all students. I should clarify that I don't have experience with California. Their rules are very different. My experience is with the standard ABA requirements as of 2022 when I entered law school.
Did you say the LSAT score was an F for you or just enough to add to your GPA to get you into Law School? Also Did you have an Associate or Bachelor GPA?
@@TheCopelandsTea-Sept16 LSAT scores are numbers not letters and it's not weighted like a letter grade. A perfect score is a 180 (or it was when I took it) and schools have average scores for entry requirements. However, most admissions departments actually consider your entire admission packet which also weighs your resume, recommendations and personal statement when considering entrance admission. I am suggesting that you review the average acceptance metrics for the schools you plan to apply to and you can find that information on the LSAC.org site once you register there. ALL Law school entrance requirements include a minimum of a Bachelors Degree.
@@JamilaNgozi I had no problems getting internships at all. As I mentioned in this video, I've had 3 different internships during my law school experience and had more opportunities than I had time (or desire) to do. Age and experience has been a plus and not a negative, in my experience.
@@JamilaNgozi I think it will be an advantage in finding a job, as I have only received positive feedback... and personally just haven't fully decided what direction I want to go after graduation.
@@vanessamaxlaw that’s awesome! Thank your reply. I do worry about opportunities after law school. I will be 49 once I finish. I just started my first week of 1L at 41. We got this. What school are you attending?
You will be ahead in all the "life experience" ways. It's an exciting adventure ahead for you. You can do this!

Same here John! Cheers!

Your videos will keep me going throughout the next three years.
