People should also take the time and how long it has been in use into consideration when comparing it. It has already been nearly 7 months since it is in use and has already gone under lot many intense tests(not only speed tests but all kinds of test) and is still destroying new launches. No A11 chip is fastest but iphone X has less memory as compared to sony.
Whatever a11 bionic or whatever they call it, it's noticeably slower compared to snapdragon 835 in speed tests.
Except loudspeaker loudness, Sony is better in every aspect.
They should put a dual camera (15 MP, f1.8, 1.55 up and 15 MP, f2.0, 1.22up telephoto) combination with ois&eis, reduce the bezels a little with louder speakers, put in a 6 inch display (sony's LCD is currently better than faulty amoled/oled panels).

the loudspeaker loudness in sony its because the stereo speakers and his regulation for each channel , the iphone are mono speaker and this have to compensate with more volume

The iPhone sounds to be more louder because it is kept on table and speakers are perpendicular to the table which reflects the sound most

Chicken Little sounds travels in all direction unless something guides it. Some of the soundwaves will go forward while others will go upward and others will be absorbed. Its all how the speaker vibrates the air around it

Camera, Sony has too much oversharpening compared to ipx and makes it look like far less quality. Audio, quality sound from XZP but less volume. Speed: Sony has been winning this since the start of the XZP

I think it's just the higher pixel count on the Sony's camera, it's a matter of personal preference, but I thought the iPhone footage was surprisingly blurry, almost as if something wasn't right... The iPhone does much better in the zoom though
Sony typically uses high ISO in every shot. The same scene that both phones capture, the XZ Premium would take it with ISO 50, while the iPhone X would take it with ISO 20 or less.
Slight sharpening reveals the noise in the image, but the detail level is unmatchable. Reduce it slightly to 16mp and it will be a hell lot better.
ODey Hymns no, he's right. I love the xzp but denying these things is just stupid. For example, when there is background blur, it will sharpen the blurred background and just overload the noise in the image

What happened to the iPhone in the camera test? Very blurry, not what I would've expected
I think the blurry part is the last portion where I did the maximum zoom. the audio was bad though and you couldn't hear what I said.
Phone Battles even before you tested max zoom though, the Xperia's footage was a lot sharper than the iPhone, almost as of the iPhone was struggling to focus or something

And 3,5 mm jack in Xperia gives perfect Hi Res sound quality, and Active Noise Canselling is fantastic technology! And I iven don't say about 4k resolution displey - incredible image quality, especially in Virtual Riality such as Google Cardboard!

what do you mean "had good design", The bezels (or however you call em) are big yes, but at least while you watch stuff, you can properly hold the phone, without pressing anything by accident, also if not those bezels the speakers would be much worse, Besides, sony got a classy design. true it is quite old, but you gotta admit its classy.
