The singer in this song is Karin Dreijer - she is from a band/group called The Knife. The Knife was famous for being visually anonymous, even to the point that they would not turn up to their own concerts. The girl you see in this filmclip is not her, it's an actress. One of the most famous songs she wrote was Heartbeats, which was covered by José González.
Royksopp on the other hand are a duo - And they have so many good tracks. Remind Me, Poor Leno, The Girl and The Robot, Running to the Sea, Impossible.

Besides The Knife, you can’t forget, Karin Dreijer is also Fever Ray. Hearing “If I Had A Heart” each week during the opening credits of Vikings was actually the first time I’d (knowingly) heard a song of hers, from any of her bands. I was especially blown away when I learned that the multiple voices singing together are all her!

Fun seeing you guys react to Röyksopp on the channel! Many of their videos are quite tremendous, this one is almost a little [David] Lynchian at times. And yes, the lyrics are often terrific and open to interpretation (if you ever check out Running to the Sea w/ Susanne Sundfør, I’m sure there’ll be plenty of comments).
“Röyksopp are a Norwegian electronic music duo from Tromsø formed in 1998. The duo consists of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland. Röyksopp has consistently experimented with various genres pertaining to electronic music. Stylistically, the band makes use of various genres, including ambient, house music and synth-pop.”

What else is there : trentemöller remix, alot of ecstacy in a club I think was called: club eleven, in Amsterdam, 2005 or 2006.
That was the high water mark of my pre sober life.
I still get a tingle and a small flashback from the dancefloor when ever I hear this song

Röyksopp have some new stuff out including a new one with Susanne Sundfør called "If You Want Me" that you might like. Also, check out their song "Never Ever" with Susanne Sundfør. Great song to move to. The singer in this song, Karin Dreijer, does music under the name Fever Ray. Her song "Keep the Streets Empty for Me" is a great tune.

Röyksopp is on my lifetime top-5 list… ❤️
Ginger, if you pronounce the K and the S in the bands name in opposite direction, K first then S, you’re there with a perfect pronounciation.
They are two DJs/producers from way up north in Norway, from the beautiful city of Tromsø. They been delivering wonderful, dancy, clubby music for about three decades, so their well worth a deep dive. They’ve just released a new album, Profound Mysteries, (two songs with Susanne Sundfør).
Bandname: Röyksopp (or Røyk in Norwegian), means Smoke-mushroom, I’m sure you know these mushrooms? They are all around, and when you stomp your foot on them they release a small cloud of dust…
You know them from Canada I guess…
The singer: Karin Dreijer Anderson (not the blonde girl in the video, actually the priest you see a glimpse of, is the singer, Karin. She is from Sweden and makes her own music with her brother. They have had two different bands, which I know the best is Fever Ray, their album “Fever Ray” from 2009 is simply awesome!!! Suggestion would be “When I grow up” from this album. The same tone, the distinct sound she also does on this album. Their other project is The Knife, don’t know it too well.
Thanks for reacting to one of my top 5 artists through all time . ❤️
I want more Röyksopp - you will want more Röyksopp! 😃👍

Hi ;ike and Ginger... Royksopp are a duo of Dj's and the lead vocal from this song is Karin Dreijer, singer of The Knife (Great Sweden band)... Royksopp had a music with The Irrepressibles, that I think you both will love, called "Something In My Heart" Big hug from Portugal ;)
