The woman singing is Karin Dreijer, thats the woman sitting at the table eating the apple, not the woman miming the song. She is the lead singer of 'The Knife'. Check out 'Heartbeats. She also goes under the name 'Fever Ray'. Any track of the first Fever Ray album is amazing. One of my fav albums ever.
As a Scandinavian this brings memories out of driving around in pitch darkness at around 3pm in the winter, this was THE mood song for Scandinavian winters
She is suppose to be heroin. The white liquid dripping down her leg is the giveaway. The chaotic scenes represents perspective from what the addict envisions. Her floating is symbolism of the drug coursing through the addicts vein. There is a quick cut scene of someone’s arm which notes injecting the drug. There are public heroin injecting places over there in their country for addicts. Unlike our legal system here, they do not incarcerate addicts, they create an controlled environment for the addicts to slow the overdose deaths & give them help.
I was so surprised to see you reacting to this. I love Royksopp! If you like this, PLEASE react to "Remind me" by Royksopp. It's my favorite song of theirs. Also, "Happy up here" is really good. Their music is all so different. You pronounced it the same way I do. Not sure if it's right, but I thought you nailed it. lol
LOVE this group! Their song Senior Living always makes me feel like crying ..great group, wish more people knew about them but at least Ms. India is helping with that 😉
This is one of my favorite songs and videos. The woman is hit my a car (The lyric “it was me on that on that road and you didn’t see me”) Just one wish is to save the driver’s soul. It’s also suggested the woman was pregnant hence the milk flowing and coming out of the pants leg. The houses falling apart represent future generations that won’t be.
Hooray, someone who actually knows what this song is about! A good accompanying song to this (in my opinion, anyway...) is 'Running to the Sea'. It covers a similar topic from a different perspective and is equally emotional..! th-cam.com/video/eaGpdhienMk/w-d-xo.html
I've stumbled onto a couple of your reaction videos by happenstance - I have to say you're really insightful and I enjoy your takes on music. Keep it up.
The woman in the priest outfit is the actual vocalist (Karin Dreijer alias Fever Ray, and vocalist in theelectronic duo The Knife) The woman singing in the video is an actor.
Wow!!!! Ive loved Royksopp for so long and to see you react is just awesome! React to “The Girl and the Robot” and “This Must be it” both are awesome!!!
Don't overthink it, the video is just a Directors artistic expression. And, has been mentioned already in the comments, the long haired Woman floating is a Model, the actual Singer is the short haired blonde Woman eating the Apple. Her name is Karin Dreijer, she's from Sweden, and was one half of electronica duo The Knife, along with her Brother. She has also performed as Fever Ray.
Thank you to everyone who suggested royksopp! Great choice! Check out "remind me" omg i love "kings of convenience" (a band/duo or singer from the band/duo not 100% on it) collabing in "remind me"
This song played over some of the end credits of the film 'Cashback' which is a superb British film (it's a film about a young man who suffers from insomnia after being dumped by his girlfriend, and he also imagines he can freeze time).
It is about suicide from depression... after you have given all... when she said “was me in the road but you couldn’t see me” and “I don’t know what more to ask for I was as given just one gift”
Karin Dreijer does another exceptional Royksopp song which is incredible. Royksopp is not all darkness and depth, but this is one of their catalogue with the most gravitas.
Lol this is really random, not that I don't like Royksopp they are brilliant. You really need to listen to MASSIVE ATTACK - UNFINISHED SYMPATHY, however be warned it will open up a complete Pandora's Box 😎😎😎
@@harripalomaki8796 it is, people talk about it being one of the greatest British dance tracks of all time, which is completely wrong. It's one THE greatest tracks of all time, and one of the most important tracks of the 90s
It's more of all we are, who've we've all become, became, will become, and ever will be... We bring the dark, the light, and the war torn torment... The calm before the storm.
My reaction was the same. I was surprised how it was filmed and the beat was amazing. Great video. The blonde is not the singer. She is a model who was put in the singers place. The singer is the one in the black cloak.
Royskopp is great this an oldie but a goodie for me but if you like this try Telepopmusik the "Genetic World or Angel Milk album. Their both great , but I suggest starting with "Into everything"
There is a mythologybthatbsays angels are unable to step on the same ground we stand on. I've always seen her as an angel walking across the world after some event.
PLEASE do If I Had A Heart by Fever Ray. It’s the same person you’re currently watching. It’s the theme song from the show Vikings on the history channel, but oh my God the original video is also creepy AF. And all of the voices are actually her voice; it’s all her.
Hi India. Please can you react to "Not if you were the last junkie on earth" by The Dandy Warhols 1997. When I hear this song I think yeah I've know people like that; maybe we all have.
India I know you're a lot like me. We both fancy love songs from the 60s. I have a suggestion for you to react to. Rumor has it that this song was responsible for more shotgun weddings in Shreveport, La in the early 60s. What surprised me about this group was they were white. I could've sworn they were a rythym and blues band. Son the song is called "All These Things" by the Uniques.
I highly recommend Allie Sherlock - Fallin' (Alecia Keys cover). She's a 15 year old Irish busker. I know you get a lot of requests but Allie won't disappoint
Lets see if you pass this test jejeje you have to react to - André Rieu - Adiós Nonino (Farewell father) whit out crying Saludos desde Patagonia Argentina!
The song 'Shake that Bagpipe' by The Sidh (pronounced shee) is definitely unique. There's a fair amount of flashing lights in their video in case you decide to check the group out.
Have to admit this is the first time Ive heard anything by the group. Quite good, but I will need to see whether it grows on me with repeated listenings. Reminded me a little of 'Of Monsters and Men', perhaps have a listen to 'King and Lionheart', 'Crystals' or 'Little Talks'.
I have a wonderful song for you to react to. Very happy and upbeat. It's "Brimful of Asha - Norman Cook Mix Official Video" - by a British Indi Band called Cornershop. The two main singer song writers are brothers called Tjinder Singh and Avtar Singh. Their band name shows their wonderful sense of humour. They are called Cornershop because in the UK all the cornershops (small local grocery/newsagent stores in residential areas - we actually do use that term the cornershop) are mostly owned by Indians. Asha Bhosle is a Bollywood singing superstar. This song is about an Indian girl listening to film music amidst those tough times as a way to hold on to hope and to find joy in a tough existence, hence the line, "She's the one that keeps the dream alive, From the morning, past the evening, till the end of the light." It was first released in 1997 then this remix was released in 1998. Please please please react to this. :D

do you know the name of the woman mining the song?
@@maha77 Yes. She's a model called Marianne Schröder.
As Fever Ray,she does If I Had A Heart, theme song from Vikings.
This comment is everything I was going to write 😁
She’s amazing!!
As a Scandinavian this brings memories out of driving around in pitch darkness at around 3pm in the winter, this was THE mood song for Scandinavian winters
Royksopp is underground af in my book, great reaction, never expected this song pick

I love the way you broke it down. She doesn't know what she is. I like the explanation you saw from this. Thank you :)
Royksopp Forever... phenomenal song
Just checked in.
So glad you did this one. Takes me back.
Great album x
Here she comes again - Royksoop My favorite
wow.....unexpected reaction to one of my favorite tracks. You rock!!!!
You should give Susanne Sundfør a go, with and without Röyksopp. I'm sure you would like her!
Fantastic band, love "this must be it"
same feeling here ✌🏻
I love this song. And you embraced this song so fully on its terms, and I now love your videos. Subscribed.
I always watched this video on TV when I was little, I am in love with this song until today, it is timeless
I've stumbled onto a couple of your reaction videos by happenstance - I have to say you're really insightful and I enjoy your takes on music. Keep it up.
Wow! What a nice surprise seeing you react to this! I love them 🤩
Damn, thanks for reminding me of Röyksopp! Haven’t listened to them in ages.
Saw fever ray live in 2010. Amazing! The stage set and lighting was so atmospheric
How did you learn of Royksopp? Glad to have you! My personal favorite is either 'I Had This Thing' or 'Bounty Hunters'
you get it and i like that you got it! good content!

She is one of my favorite vocalists ever, a guest on this song, Check out "Heartbeats" by the Knife ( her first band)
Really liked your reaction and interpretation :)
This song played over some of the end credits of the film 'Cashback' which is a superb British film (it's a film about a young man who suffers from insomnia after being dumped by his girlfriend, and he also imagines he can freeze time).
Funnily I remember a scene from Cashback of Keeley Hazell walking thru a Supermarket in her birthday suit
Yep that's actually how I discovered this song back in 2006.... A classic I still can watch even in today's time. Great British movie👏
It is about suicide from depression... after you have given all... when she said “was me in the road but you couldn’t see me” and “I don’t know what more to ask for I was as given just one gift”
React to the song Heartbeats by The Knife. (The vocalists band) 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪

Also, Blue Lines is a near perfect album. Haven't heard it in a couple of years but I can't recall there being a dip in it
Great song. I own Sliver movie soundtrack. The first time I heard Unfinished Sympathy was while watching that movie back in 1993.
I saw the title, and I was like: Aren't they the people who did that song from the Geico commercial? I looked it up. Yes... yes they are...
It's more of all we are, who've we've all become, became, will become, and ever will be... We bring the dark, the light, and the war torn torment... The calm before the storm.
This is on my playlist. Love it💕
I have always believed this is a song from a POV of a dead person who was killed by a car while taking a stroll on a street.
Love the channel India, 3 oldies for you to ponder ,Miles away by winger ,Love walked in by Thunder and womankind by little angles.
Yes! It takes you by the soul from the first sound and takes you into his world. And I heard it when I was 16.
Me too.. I’m 32 now and it still hunts me to my core

You need to try Monument, with Robyn.
