My most favorite fishing podcast hands down. It has a way of really humanizing the Pro’s and let’s you see and connect with them. It also teaches you so many things I never knew before about bass fishing. I am the guy your son or daughter saw at every one of their games and was their coach. I went to my kids games every day, elementary school thru high school and college. In the morning he called and said I told my boss every day, I will be gone from 2pm to 7pm, no meetings for me. He told me no, so I quit. When, I didn’t show up to work he said where are you. I am at home, I quit. He said okay you can go to their games. I work from 6:30 till 10pm at night 6 or 7 days a week. I have 3 great kids, who I never told no. All college graduates. They are great kids. Greg it’s too late too cry. Your kids have grown up. I feel sorry for you. I am a legend too my kids.
I am glad you are proud of the job you did raising your kids. I am also very proud of the job I did with my kids too. However I would never judge another man’s parenting performance
Truth Bomb from start to finish! Retired Navy Diver. Used to do tournaments, then felt bad watching people struggle just to have a "relaxing day" on the water, so I started guiding. Guiding and tournament fishing don't mix like you would think. Pure heart and harsh honesty are hard to come by and seem to be admonished when they come to light. Ehhh, as ya'll said, it is what it is. I rest pretty well at night, living like ya'll said. "Leave it on the field with a full heart." I appreciate what you bring to the table, Dave. Godspeed! If you're ever in Virginia, look me up.
I have more respect for Gerald Swindle than anyone else in professional sports. He, along with BP and Carl are doing it the right way. You too Dave, with your "day job", you could easily gloss over this stuff but you don't. I come from a stock car racing background, if you're found to be cheating it's public knowledge. B.A.S.S. and the other leagues would do well to follow. Same with polygraphs, all the organization has to say is "so and so failed a polygraph and the punishment is......" I listened on Spotify but didn't see a place to leave a rating. I've been either watching or listening since day one, episode #1. Thanks for all you do Dave!

Dave. I came back to bass fishing this year after 20 years. I was one of the many kids that use to watch bill dance on Saturday mornings instead of cartoons in the 90s. This year I came across your videos, joined BASS and have been hooked on this sport again. Thank you for your great content. It has been such a great experience getting back into this hobby. Been subscribed to you for years, been watching clips and full episodes of facts of fishing…..then watched you with Luke(sorry you guys had ur thing), and then have watched all the podcasts. I also watch every episode of BTL which you have been teaming up with Matt on the Cull show and I am just a TH-cam fishing watching fool sense like 2016 I think and have been consuming fishing content almost daily if I can’t go out and fish which is most days I like to check in on my guys and watch them fish and grow their channels. You have really ran with this podcast and I enjoy watching….keep it up man you have really been killing it. Love Jake’s take shows also and this is probably what the 3rd time G has been on?? Maybe even the 4th. Always love hearing the G-man’s a opinion and all his jokes and positivity!! Congrats man and I’ll be here for the long haul!!
G-man is the real deal. If he’s talking I’m listening. But he is a legend. No one is more authentic and honest. As far as fishing goes I took his advice to keep it simple when selecting jig colors. (But I do buy too much stuff still. 😊)
I will always listen to a conversation with the gman. Great episode, I have two kids of my own I am raising to understand and keep the integrity of the sport/passion. This episode had some great points. I caught a fish in a tournament that was hooked near the mouth and questionable to me, I let that fish go and i needed it…..I said when I met gman in lacross last fall he was the reason I was there to Marshall, I always listen to the the stories and lessons from him and man I can relate. I wish I could go fishing with him once lol. I won’t ever make it compete with him in the elites but with any luck maybe one or both my kids will get there some day. Keep up the great episodes sir.

I totally understand why G hates the guide services. I have that same mind set because it is difficult to turn off that finding fish. Guiding someone, they might not understand that get up and go run and gun attitude. A lot of people wanting to be guided will not understand that. I have to edit to make one more comment. The biggest thing I take from G is this. He said basically all he wanted is making his wife and family proud of him. Once men and women understand this. Life will and would become easier especially if you understand this thinking. That is all a true man wants is a simple pat on the back. That is it! A man will go to the ends of the earth if they have support from their family. You are the man G!!!!!

Gman makes anybody feel like they can do or become anything they desire to become. Out of all the pros Gman and IKE, are the 2 that didnt have mommys and daddys money to help them along the path to becoming a professional bass fisherman. They both had the posative attitude and motivation and pushed through the hard times but never gave up. Im 49 years old and regret not following my dream of being a pro. Its not too late but I better start stoking the fire and get after it or it will be. Keep it up Dave I enjoy your podcast and one day I hope to be on it and my slogan is gonna be , AINT NEVER 2 LATE.

Been lovin bass fishin all my life ! Started family life early down here in SC , and have many country boy stories and experiences. I'm sayin that , times slips on by . Well G .. brother , It has had a lot to do with following you . Your drive ... Your on camera person ( also understanding) that you are human and have a life outside of bass fishin , has very much motivated me to tournament fish as well ! So one day I'll meet you G .. maybe go fishin 😉. Dave .... I met you at Santee this year briefly . You my friend ... are very good at bringing light to the lives of a tournament fisherman . You asked how long have I been following you .. and BASS . Heavy about three years now .. I think . My friends don't understand it ... but like .. it's like I know you guys ... All of you !! Great show Dave, Gman is always great to have on. I agree the rules need to be more clear cut & infractions need to be released. True sportsmen will not look for the grey. If the rules are clear cut & strictly upheld then the grey gets almost gone. If you love the sport you will be like Brandon & Carl and do what is right. Gman keeps I real as always. There's one thing G said (well there we're a bunch), but the one we can act on is calling out people when they do something positive. I had a bunch of guys in my yak club do that for me recently for not doing something dishonest in a tournament that I could have gotten away with. It felt better than any win.
Excellent show boys, There is enough lying, stealing, cheating in every day life, we don't need it in Tournament fishing at any level. It needs to be called out and there needs to be consequences to match the offense. Always enjoy hearing G's thoughts on fishing. I would like to nominate LuLu to be the instant replay official.😀

Guiding someone, they might not understand that get up and go run and gun attitude. A lot of people wanting to be guided will not understand that. I have to edit to make one more comment. The biggest thing I take from G is this. He said basically all he wanted is making his wife and family proud of him. Once men and women understand this. Life will and would become easier especially if you understand this thinking. That is all a true man wants is a simple pat on the back. That is it! A man will go to the ends of the earth if they have support from their family. You are the man G!!!!!

Gman makes anybody feel like they can do or become anything they desire to become. Out of all the pros Gman and IKE, are the 2 that didnt have mommys and daddys money to help them along the path to becoming a professional bass fisherman. They both had the posative attitude and motivation and pushed through the hard times but never gave up. Im 49 years old and regret not following my dream of being a pro. Its not too late but I better start stoking the fire and get after it or it will be. Keep it up Dave I enjoy your podcast and one day I hope to be on it and my slogan is gonna be , AINT NEVER 2 LATE.

Been lovin bass fishin all my life ! Started family life early down here in SC , and have many country boy stories and experiences. I'm sayin that , times slips on by . Well G .. brother , It has had a lot to do with following you . Your drive ... Your on camera person ( also understanding) that you are human and have a life outside of bass fishin , has very much motivated me to tournament fish as well ! So one day I'll meet you G .. maybe go fishin 😉.

Great show Dave, Gman is always great to have on. I agree the rules need to be more clear cut & infractions need to be released. True sportsmen will not look for the grey. If the rules are clear cut & strictly upheld then the grey gets almost gone. If you love the sport you will be like Brandon & Carl and do what is right. Gman keeps I real as always. There's one thing G said (well there we're a bunch), but the one we can act on is calling out people when they do something positive. I had a bunch of guys in my yak club do that for me recently for not doing something dishonest in a tournament that I could have gotten away with. It felt better than any win.
I agree some of the most important moments are getting respect from fellow anglers
Excellent show boys, There is enough lying, stealing, cheating in every day life, we don't need it in Tournament fishing at any level. It needs to be called out and there needs to be consequences to match the offense. Always enjoy hearing G's thoughts on fishing. I would like to nominate LuLu to be the instant replay official.😀
