@@ZwenMatthews because colleagues are NOT your friends. Remember that, because until the shit hits the fan, you probably wouldn't believe me. It just comes with experience. Maybe, if you are very lucky, you'd be able to have an actual friend at work, but tell yourself first - do you really want to have anything with this person, or is it just "being nice"?
@@Fireok73 Interesting. Well, from my experience, I got quite close with one of my colleagues back then. We shared a great bond both at work and in our spare time. But I can see how that doesn't happen in most cases. I just know work would be a lot less fun without that friend. You got any experience trying to be closer than colleagues with someone?
@ well, the thing is if your friend was the same age as you, then yea. It makes sense because you’ll probably have much more in common. But it negates if he’d be married and had a kid. People just don’t really have time to make friends with that much responsibility on them. Their priorities would differ from yours. So that’s the main issue for adults. Different thing is when there’s a big age gap between colleagues, there won’t be anything except sharing experience and skills. Just be nice enough to each other without being “too nice” and keep the working environment feeling non hostile
You speak exactly what i feel with my friends, I moved out tô another school last year and Marie Some friends in the new school but we are only like “light friends” sorry for my bad english
@@arthurcandelaria4308 Yeah, you probably have that in the back of your mind, wich makes it seem dumb to create any valuable bonds since you are thinking about changing schools
Thing is, that's EXACTLY how you have to be at work. Be ok with everyone without getting too close with colleagues
True, but also kinda why? I do the same, but why not for example have 1 that is close?

No worries, I understand. Are your new friends people you like to be with, or are they just temporary friends?

I’m gonna be 18 in 5 days how scary i’m gonna be a man already
That is so exciting! How are you gonna celebrate it and what are you scared about?
@@ZwenMatthewsbeing a man/adult
@@Trey12392 And why does the fact that being a man/adult scare you? Do you feel like you can't become it?
18 isn't being a man dude, not from the pov of experience or even anatomically, if anything u become a man at 24-25 so u got time to chill
@@spicymeat786 That is correct, but I think me personally will never really feel like I'm getting older except my age

Oh look it's a young adult going through their motivational phase. You spoke for 3 minutes but didn't really say anything, sorry.
That's fine, can't always bring something new or useful to the table ;)
He says some really valuable things
