I love this! I just restarted my island but because I didn’t have the know how I do now when I first started it. BUT I should have just demolished everything on my island instead, because I forgot how long it takes to accumulate items/bells. 😅 This challenge is tempting though.
Ahhh see I’m the opposite! Flattening an island seems freaky to me have such an empty canvas. But to each their own! I get wanting to keep bells and items though 😂 appreciate the comment and hope your new island rules!

Back to basics+: Still all of the same rules except, the diy furniture only Instead: •Where ever your starting villagers want to place their home is where theyll be placed, you cant change them til 5stars •Only allowed to craft tools (you can still buy tools too, i just dont know how to word this better) •Only able to craft the required beginning of the game diy furniture •All other furniture must be bought or shaken from trees. •Only able to use Nook miles for the first house debt, pocket upgrades, character customization, and one nook miles ticket to get brewster (or however many you need… i don’t remember. If there happens to be your sister fruit and flowers you are allowed one of each color flower and three fruit) •No travelling to other players islands •Custom designs *are* allowed and pathing (i know that isnt like basic, basic but they really are a good qol upgrade) •Gold Roses are only allowed once you get the gold watering can (if you get a thunderstorm one, you can stockpile it and only pick it when you have the can or just throw it away, up to you) Optional: •you can do happy home from the start, however only one villager per day *or* you can start happy home at 2 stars (buying furniture with poki counts as usable furniture) •you can timeskip after 3 stars •you can terraform after 4 stars •you can villager hunt after 5 stars •you can go to other players islands at 5 stars
I like your addition to timeskip/ terraforming! Maybe I'll allow myself to terraform after 5 stars or something. I'm liking the laid back version of not terraforming right now though. I would really like a way to get other island fruit though, maybe one day I'll go to an island and get it!

I should clarify, the rules say you can only use DIY outside to decorate, not inside! That being said, I’ve already picked up items that were non diy (like the chair at buds house, etc) and put them in storage 🫡
I bought the game last month, I had been wanting to play it since Illymation mentioned it in one of her videos, but by the time it launched I was poor as hell, didn't have a cent to my name and since then until this year I didn't have enough money to justify buying a nintendo switch and ACNH. Anyway, it's really interesting to me hearing others talking about burnout with this game while I'm here like, this game is the chillest thing ever in my life lmao. But I found this video to be very entertaining and it makes me realize how much faster I could have made some things (it took me like a week to pay off my first loan lmao) but it has been really fun figuring out all of the things and only googling a couple of things when I get stuck. I decided to not time travel and only play an hour tops daily and keep it simple, although, lately I'm thinking on playing a little more "serious" and really start planning my island because it's been a month and my island is pretty empty with no roads and one basic bridge, so I'm sure I'll enjoy more of your videos plus, I really liked your personality.

The island you see me walking around on in the beginning of this video was used with light time travel aside from villager hunting. I never duplicated items to get a bunch of bells either cause I felt it was pointless to pay off my house in full so quickly. But also have never cared what people do. If they buy it, they can do what they want with it to have the most fun haha
