    ⚠️ Anyone who’s confused - he means DO NOT USE THE REUSABLE NESPRESSO PODS THAT DO NOT HAVE THE GROOVES (Space for the capsule piercing knives to go to). The safe reusable capsule/ pod is the one he has - WITH GROOVES (gap for the knives).

    This is what I was thinking about! So the groove is important.

    You need to say “not be careful of the pods with grooves” but rather - “make sure that the pods have the grooves”. When you say “be careful of something”, it sounds like you’re warning against it. So at first I couldn’t understand whether you are warning me not to buy the the reusable pods with grooves, or telling me that I should buy reusable with grooves. In normal context when you say “be careful of this or that” it means you’re warning against it. I understood what you meant after I watched your full explanation about the knives. Thank you for your super explanatory video with visual example. (English isn’t my first language either, so I feel you there forgetting some words, or not knowing what something is called!)
    In any case, amazing video, and you just earned a subscriber. I absolutely love knowing how things work and fixing something that broke down. Thank you once again. I will now know exactly what to avoid!!! 😊

    I just bought a machine with a nespresso option, and this is exactly what I saw happening with a reusable pod. Luckily I stopped it before I did any damage. On the search for a better reusable pod now. Thank you for posting this and confirming my suspicion!

    Adrian you are amazing! I as an engineer, was looking for technical way of reusable capsules whether they will damage my machine or not and yet literally no one, only you have revealed it. This removed the question mark in my mind. Thank you so much!

      Does he mean I can use that reusable pod and nothing will be damaged? Or does he mean it will damage the machine?

      You can use the metal pods only if it has the rounded groove as the one presented in the video.

      Can you tell which brand makes reusable pods that damages the coffee machine ?
      I think the reusable pod manufacturers know what they are doing and always make pods that are slightly shorter than the originals.

    Thumb uo ! May I ask about another problem ? We're using plastic pods so "knoves" are OK. But when we press the leverage in order to close the machina, we have to keep it closed by hand otherwise it opens ! It worked till some month ago. What could have appened ?

    This is why I use the Triplot Reusable Capsules because they are shorter than the original pods and don't damage the blades

    Is there a certain groove depth that is going to be necessary? Or if it looks like there is some groove on an Amazon product will it likely be okay?

      Salut. E din cauza că acel capac de silicon nu se mai etanșează bine pe capsula de inox la fel că și când era nou. Încearcă să uzi un pic capacul de silicon înainte de utilizare și să cureți cu buretele de vaze diffuserul cu ac.

    I am confused. your video is titled NESPRESSO yet the machine is KRUPS.
    are these pods made by Nespresso?

    • @VictorZucchini
      @VictorZucchini 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nespresso DOES NOT make its own machines. Nespresso’s machines are always made by some 3rd party this one is Nespresso by KRUPS. Nespresso does not make its own coffee machines. Nespresso (owned by Nestle) invented the machines, but they license their technology to others. That way, Nespresso focuses on the coffee and leaves production for others. Breville and DeLonghi are the two most popular Nespresso machine manufacturers in North America. I know KRUPS is popular in Europe, but I have seen them in USA too.

    I don’t understand if you mean. DO NOT USE ANY REUSABLE PODS. OR USE THIS ONE WIRH CAUTION?

    • @VictorZucchini
      @VictorZucchini 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It means make sure you use the ones with groove. DO NOT USE THE PODS WITHOUT THE GROOVES as they do not have a gap for the knives to go in. (I was confused as well, but figured it out after he explained about the knives.) 😊
